On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

Personally, I'd like to go for MR Smiting, Rune of Grimnir, Rune of Might. We haven't yet actually done shit with that particular MR, have we?
Or maybe just go for MR Grimnir, Rune of Grimnir, Rune of Grimnir. Would be silly, but still an interesting idea.
We have used currents once, and conduction twice.
Our hammer has breaking-lite (conduction + smednir)
The weapon runes we haven't used yet are Grimnir, Flight, Awakening and Smiting.

[X] Plan Basket, plus prepare the defences

Finally the Basket!
And no on the another annoying commission, do note after we reveal the method of making the chain we would get far more interesting commission from Southern holds' royal lines than just Kadrin whatisname!
Research first!

Hmm, how about MR Grimnir, Rune of Valaya, Rune of Fury? I mean, if it's possible for Ancestral Aegis to be formed from MR Grungni, Valaya, Spellbreaking, then MR Grimnir, Valaya, and Fury would likely make it combo due to Grimnir & Valaya using an az in combat. And hell, the Valaya aspect can also be used to gently remind the king and the Royal Line on the importance of hold and kin.

Can't let the wazzocks go and bungle up in the future now, can we?

I could maybe see MGrimnir Valaya and Parrying be a defensive focused combo, turning it from "keep fighting regardless of injuries until the enemy is dead" into "Hold no matter your injuries until your allies are safe/aid comes" Might work for the Hearth Guard but I'm not sure it would be great for a king.

Well, as i don't see the current Vote as a total Basket Case, (I am so funny!) but rather important, because you know, we got it from Valaya herself as she was bickering with Grungi, i am really looking forward to the Results of this Research.

I agree.
It's a nice combo for a holdout weapon, but not on the level for a super-combatant.

- The great canal binding the Dumaraz and Varn Wyrren has at last been completed. The raging torrent of the Dumaraz has been conquered, its rapids stilled and locks buried deep in its body to bring ships upland and into the great cold lake where their wares may be traded.

They built a canal between the River Dypvann (North West of Praag) and the Frozen Sea. Is Kraka Ravnsvake secretly led by a self insert? Starting next turn we will have more steady trade with the Elves.

Didn't Elves and Dwarfs originally meet in the south?

Grimnir met Caledor dragontamer in what becomed brettonia.
They would have interacted more with dwarfs when both had settlements in Brettonia area. We got them early because KotS is an epic level precog and reached out to save a ship.
Butterflies!

Great for an Axe of Winterhearth given the tale of their founding.

[X] Plan Preemptive Appeasement

We're an Elder, we can't just leave a commission half finished to go off and act all foolishly scared, even if the tunnels are a hole in our defenses.

[X] Plan Preemptive Appeasement

We took a billion commissions, now let's do them.
If you find yourself never wanting to vote for doing commissions, then maybe we should vote for them less often, or with fewer at the same time piling up.

[X] Plan Preemptive Appeasement

No more commisions for a while please I want to go down the alchemy (starting with fluent Eltharian) and rune metal lines.

If we threw a shirt in maybe. But what about just the wire? Inset the wire in a mold/holder in the smelter shaped like this to keep it from puddling out, though a lot closer together;

And we now have Adamant Wire which we can use to make Adamant Chainmail. The hard part was always getting the Gromril/Adamant into thin enough wire to make the chain mail, not actually working it at that size.
Oh it can almost definetly be done. Just saying we can't just literally throw a chainmail shirt into the rig we have now and expect it to come out intact.

...I wonder if the KoTS Himself is trying to butterfly away the War of the Beard? (How many more years are there for that, based on the original timeline btw?). If the Brana have a large proportion of Azyr users, and enough of those users can use distance communication, then the Dwarves would also get access to it through their alliance (which wasn't a capability present at all in the original timeline, the way I've heard it told).
