Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Both of these will help us learn more about their history and culture so:
[x] To the entrance hall, to see what stories Meng Dan is managing to extract.
[X] To the Sun Shrine, to see how Gan Guangli is getting along with the… priests.

More worldbuilding, a look into the cultural influence of great spirits, and finally some time with Gan, what's not to like?

Soo... I didn't realize it was even possible to bond with another human cultivator, banned/taboo/or otherwise...

I feel like my immediate next thought was: is it possible to have 2 beings bind each other with the same ritual?

So instead of being profane/slavery-esque/manipulative/predatory, instead each is borrowing from the strength of the other and giving some in return equally?

Would that make it possible to hide in each other's dantians? What other benefits and effects might that have?

The next trope-y thought was hoping we might get to see some historical personal perspective or documentation about a set of twins following either the same or alternatively some kind of paired paths of opposites/contrasts using this method?

And the next step after all that is.. If all that's possible, what's to stop other graph network structures of shared bonds? It can have directionality, which can mean cycles, or what about fully connected graphs with many cultivators?

Picture 108 cultivators all bound bi-directionally to each other... It would start getting really strange, I imagine, splitting your essence shared evenly that much... 🤔🤔🤔

Unrelated: my vote:

Your thinking about the cloud nomad bonding technique for sharing each other's strength and the twilight king for blood/soul bonding to their progenitor like a vampire but worse which cause the big kaboom in golden field's and now have wandering undead warrior's forever.

Redoing my vote because I think the last time I mentioned it was during the 2-hour moratorium.
