Yeah, good techs are harder to find than good sources of anam. We can luck onto natural wonders ourselves, we can rent them, or we can choose to buy pills. Even low level techs are still ludicrously expensive, and getting ones worth a damn would be even harder.

Or in other words, whilst it sure as heck would still be a drain on resources, the necessary anam is still way cheaper than techs, and Ves has just confirmed that those natural wonders wouldn't be permanent either.

Two reasons.
1: Appropriate Techs might not be mono-Aspected. We may have a weak source of Smoke and might be able to buy Steel pills, but what if we need other things. Safely finding Wonders is going to need to wait two weeks and then still costs two actions for a guaranteed find (which still might not include safe access), and it likely won't have the right Aspects.
2: While I'm sure the Elder Siani has an outstanding collection of Techniques. We are still limited by Kong Zhi's stats here. We still need to start with simple Techniques. Siani could give us some rather random Techniques, meaning that we could still be running around without some basic abilities, until we fix that.

I am of course extremely interested in what Siani might be offering, and will be happy to find out. But I don't think it is the most sensible option.

Hmm, a transient prize is less valuable than a permanent one, I think.

We had issues with walking up some stairs. So I would rather browse the library for techniques, then go looking for a Natural Wonder in the wild.

this is a natural wonder that is reserved for a first circle member. God knows how powerful that could be. While we won't have free access to the the natural wonder after we have integrated the techniques we find, we can later ask to use it again.

Of the two, I think Techniques will be more rare then convienent wonders, especially if that arena thing Kong Ves! Planned on using for the Superman build is something we can find-I'm pretty sure that place had Steel Anam as part of it's offerings.
 
Hey does anyone have any idea of where to find Time techs assuming Siani gives us one or more time techs if Master Siani does not?

Dude, they're PERSONAL TECHNIQUES of a higher-end realm mentor, not some half-assed experimental movements from a newly discipled child. I mean, anything on his collection should be good ones, and knowing his role, those should be eccentric, flexible, and packs enough firepower to justify his solitary standing and lone wolf attitude.

Strongly implied this becomes the aspect of the anam used to cycle it.

We can find more Wonders, it will take time and effort, but that much is known even from our adventures thus far. Techs, on the other hand...

I think we just need the techs more than anything else. We have a solid lead on different places we're able to find anam from, whether it's exploration actions or renting time at a wonder from the market, or commissioning pills from Shouxi. In comparison, we have no idea about where we might be able to find techs that are specifically aligned with steel or smoke could be, and as mentioned previously, techs are really expensive
 
I wonder if we could negotiate with Fa for access to the Tyrant's Nail/that Steel treasure she has.

Probably be easier to barter with Shouxi again though.
 
Remember that now we only have acces to a 25 anam wonder and Cloud's Breath a 7 anam natural treasure. If we want to heal quickly, infuse a charm and train some tech we can't do it because we don't have enought anam.
