[X] Seek the wailing wind.

Art perspective: I care more about LFWT in the immediate term than FSS or UGM. I'd rather FSS+ be influenced by the Ice Ladies we're about to treat with over Not!Zeqing. UGM is a cool art, but imo less important to us at the moment, so LFWT makes for a point in the wailing wind's favor as far as I'm concerned.

Danger perspective: A likely "bad end" with the smothering white might involve bad things happening to Hanyi, up to losing her as a spirit, which sounds... not fun. A likely "bad end" with the stolid glacier might involve delays to our journey, with all kinds of possible minuses to the final outcome as a result. On the other hand, a likely "bad end" with the wailing wind is probably one or multiple of our squad getting hurt, which sounds less bad to me, as long as no one dies. There might even be bonding moments caused by trauma, who knows. Obviously this entire paragraph is pure guesswork, but it feels right. It's too fast and loose to call this a real point in wailing's favor, but it's definitely not a point against in my mind.

Spirit perspective: Hanyi is about to get interaction with the Ice Ladies. Even if we avoid a bad end with smothering/Not!Zeqing, I don't think I like how it might twist Hanyi's growth over the course of this journey. I don't feel like the glacier will do too much for Zhengui, even with a "good end". Maybe it helps us connect with him, there have been rumblings about UGM as a possible candidate for our upcoming tech alteration to bond with Zhengui, which might have promise, but I don't see it enough for it to influence this particular vote much at all. But I think it could be really cool to see Sixiang, who now boasts a secondary wind element, observe/interact with the wailing wind. And I actually like the idea of Hanyi interacting with the wailing wind over the smothering white as well, since it seems like prone to down-sides, even if potential up-sides aren't all that strong. Overall, that's another clear point for wailing for me, especially with the simple math that Sixiang + Hanyi = 2 Spirits. 2 > 1.

What does she expect she'd actually be negotiating for with each spirit? For instance I'm not sure how the glacier would bless us, or if it would even care about our presence given its focus on a long enduring grinding away of stone.

As a side note, I find it interesting that two of the spirits actively erode stone and the third lives on the snowy peaks

This vote is pretty random, but I voted for the wind on the grounds that if we're seeking to get a spirit to let us go past, a glacier isn't going to be moved easily and a smothering white only wants to lock people down.

WIND: You want to GO, GO, GO? Sure!

(And hope it doesn't change its mind five minutes later.)

Safe passage. We don't want the glacier to eat us (glaciers are goddamn terrifying and regularly kill people who traverse them), we don't want the wind to harry us the whole way, and we want the snow to let us past.

I think that 1) the glacier, being relatively sedentary/calm, and with us having UGM, is the least risky option, and 2) the wind seems like it might be music-inclined.

They're all spirits of Ending. Wind erodes, Glacier has its grinding advance, Smothering snuffs out warmth. None of them are "safe" to gain the attention of.

Which is what makes them rad to talk to!
