Tbf, there are things there that depending of how Yrs do it could be really powerful
 
Paraphrasing some of my early thoughts on discord; this seems to be the place to stock up on utility talismans, leaving more combat-oriented equipment to Lin Hai commissions. Ideals include:
- Proper scrying kit for RME
- 3d-realm appropriate formation breaking tools
- something stealth-oriented for cases where activating combat means we're running away

I'm personally fond of a scrying kit because Weilu arts. In addition and as has been said, if there's anywhere we can get a talisman that works for six on the cheap, a Hui stash would be it.

For Hanyi I feel like we'll get better opportunities with the ice witches, or failing that another commission consideration from Lin Hai. Though she should benefit as much as LQ from the general art/music haul here.

In terms of loot distribution, it's probably a reasonable deal to get 1/3 as much liquid proceeds from the auction (0.5 vs 1.5 multi) to gain favor with a count clan. We're fine on cash for a while but reputation/favors is big for us.

EDIT: also holy moly the rest of the loot is amazing; a comprehensive set of lessons and instructions for art modification (core part of later 3d realm), collected artworks for LQ, Six and Hanyi to get inspired by, an achievable recipe for a longer-term project that can get us Cyan breakthrough medicine, as well as late 2nd/early 3d realm arts of similar quality to Thousand Ring Fortress.

Honestly, fine, if the thread wants Dream stuff, I can get on board with that. But voting for five things to SECURE the Dream stuff is weird. Thankfully there's two clear winners out of the four Dream talismans in my eyes, and if y'all are willing to count the triptych as Dream stuff as well, I'm into that.

The mirror obviously should be a great Sixiang talisman, who currently has three empty talisman slots, just begging to be filled. Along with that, the Compass sounds like the best of the lot for flavor and plot hooks, and I personally really like the triptych. A Vocal training/studying aid sounds super useful, and I definitely think there could be some cool character moments from LQ/Hanyi studying their own singing, especially if the talisman helps highlight areas for improvement.

I'll try writing a couple.

[X][talisman] Dreaming Scribe's Quill, a writing tool used for composing text imbued in Dream qi. Intended as a learning aid for initaites into the Liminal realm.
-[X] Using this quill to write about a dream one had recently causes that dream to repeat itself for the author. Paired up with the right ink, it can be used to cause specific kinds of dreams on others.

Considering we found these in the ring belonging to the scribbling Hui person, it makes sense that the artifacts he'd have in there would be notebooks or writing tools to assist in his scribbling.
What do these guys use to write anyway? Pens, pencils? Quills?

Follow up on cyan breakthrough elixir but think it calls for us to do a scanveger hunt by end of threads since we won't reach breakthrough point till book 3, but be good to get ingredients for us as well as our friends. Looks like be very nice end book arc.

If someone makes utility Tools like Formation Breakers I'd put my vote on that. We're still using our Second Realm Stellar Shadow Tools which are really good but I'd like some actual +Formation. Tools don't need to be equipped so I'm kind of thinking of calling the Mirror and Compass a Tool instead of an Accessory. Meaning we still have to replace our skunk flower hairpiece.

Basically I had the random idea of getting Gui a little crown in the shape of a Burger King Paper Crown cause our little boy deserves it. Didn't really think too much about the effect of the equipment besides "War seems low at G so boost that I guess" cause I don't really expect to win. This is just for fun

I don't mind either of those options. Getting stronger connections with the Meng is good (and I think it will jump to 1, not 0), but so is getting a lot of monies.

It occurs to me that the deal doesn't account for Ling Qi keeping the tapestry?
Or does Meng Dan expect us to keep access open to him if we do keep it? @yrsillar ?
Just asking out of curiosity since I can't see any circumstance where we keep it and prevent him(or other nerd friends) from using it.

Also curious, is the Tapestry unable to trace matrilineal descent, or unwilling to do so and has to be coaxed by Meng Dan into doing so?

I see no reason to actually keep the tapestry, and bringing the Meng opinion to 0 from -1 seems the better deal for the auction choices. Also I like Meng Dan.
