Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
The main thing is that in a white room race on the planes of Testing, Xia Lin would be about equal in straight line speed with Ling Qi.

Ling Qi however is a cheater and just cackles at any form of terrain or obstacle via the power of "Distance? What's that?" and teleportation. Sable Grace being at A, Dex being at S, all make Speed pretty powerful and impact Ling Qi's maneuverability significantly. In terms of holistic mobility in three dimensional space Ling Qi should be superior.

I'm fairly certain that it was taken into account IC, considering that Xia Lin's speed was measured while she was getting around Zhengui's root walls. Maybe Ling Qi has the edge because she can fly, but we haven't seen a single active tech from Xia Lin, so maybe she can somehow cheat too.

She was very fast, fast enough that Ling Qi was unsure of whether she was faster.

Ling Qi could feel the masterful flows of the wind in her steps and every twisting movement of her body and spear. Xia Lin was wind and metal, and her halberd pierced through whatever it's blade touched, leaving gaping wounds in the underlying qi constructs of Zhengui's structures that left them struggling to regrow.

That they did regrow at all seemed to impress Xia Lin all the more.
Those are active techniques though.

How do you know? I figured those were just passive effects, kinda like Ling Qi used to flicker around passively because that seemed more natural than walking. Although maybe the "masterful" in indication enough.
Mhmm, plus the like tearing through obstacles like she's wielding razor wind is not exactly a passive thing.

It seems like you missed a word in the bolded part, because otherwise I don't understand what you're saying.

Anyway, I went to check on the char sheet - and you were right. Ling Qi doesn't do speed anymore it seems. Which is weird, I remember her speed being leagues above everything else, now it's in the second half of her tier skills. Which to me seems weird, given that she's a sect scout, but what do I know lol.
Auto correct on the phone, it was "with mist and such"
Ling qi still has a really good dodge, but she became more of a controller, with secondary roles as tank and scout.

"That seems agreeable, Miss Ling," Xia Lin said. Her brief moment of confusion disappeared behind professionalism again.
aww, I wanted to keep her off balance for longer. Though I do admit that knowing that she is a Dragoon build with specifically construct disrupting specialties to be pretty useful as well.
Ling Qi found herself waiting outside of the Sect village. This time, there was no great entourage this time though.
too many "this time"
"Of course, but facts are funny things,"
I hope they discuss this further off screen. This is still a fairly important fact that Ling Qi needs to know, and a great blindspot of her background. Just not one I see as being worth making permanent part of Ling Qi's Way.

My instinct is to focus on the now. I am not smart enough to think about the implications of both coices so I will just vote based on what I know will be useful rather now rather than usefulness in the future.

The other one seems a bit transparent as an attempt to build connections with the Meng, while this is more immediately applicable. I'd still prefer to focus on better results from the expedition at the moment.

Even though the Weilu is probably a better path to power, the hill tribes are closer to a look into a talk on the empire itself: I do want to look into it.
