No, I think you are likely right on the money. It also likely that we will get diplomatic/intrigue mission in White tribe anyway. The question is in what context and this whos baking.

I would be more interested in the sect option if it involved elders we already had a connection with. Burning Queen and pissed off brother in law are not inspiring any confidence in their pursuing a diplomatic option. Even in the military you could exercise discretion on who to report shit to (culturally savvy S2 or an S3 who just wants to find targets to take out.)

Who needs a doctrine / competent intelligence when you have endless manpower? Just throw more disciples at a problem until it goes away.

I'm just in a Grinning mood and, paired with my ever-present Hidden curiosity, I wanna know what the elder has to say about the encounter. We're talking to Shenhua later anyway, so this is a vote to just get More. In keeping with my Grinning mantle, more is always better, and I staunchly refuse to appreciate the consequences of my actions.

Because being the point woman on a new frontier of diplomacy is what Renxiang wants from us in terms of dealing with nobility of any kind

And Shenhua is the most likely to let Ling Qi sink or swim here on that basis by letting her take point. Probably by sweetening the pot in case of success as well

Theres just more to offer Ling Qi in terms of relevance and reputation here then if the Sect took point in how to handle things moving forward with the White Sky tribe

agree. Shenhua is very much herself, and enjoys cultivators that assert their own way. If it's a way that comes into direct conflict they will be overwhelmed of course, but Merit and Acting of your own instincts are valued. When your instincts are good, at least.

I believe that Shenhua will very much appreciate our Domain Choice when she sees we felt obligated to save the small-folk. Well. Nobles, but small to us at least lol

we also went the Sincere route.

I. I actually wonder if there's going to be some shenanigans now. Like. Direct interference in plans type shenanigans.
We're all of a sudden dealing with a lot of power outside of the norm, and we're doing well still. We uncovered a mondo secret of the Barbs through our stealing actions, and did a diplo-through-music emergency diplo mid battle. The Moons have to be pretty happy about that.

Maybe during our cooldown downtime gardening with our son we'll have some nice social interactions too? just little ones, alongside the gardening. I'd like that. like a month of interludes almost. social time with Zhengui with cameos from our important allies that are in dire need of rest.

Seriously. So many of our friends and allies need a nice relaxation and recuperation moment. I think it will be nice to have a Downtime Arc that just. chillll
think about the past, the present and future.
