We Are the Gods of a New World Order [Warhammer 50K ~ Warp God Simulator]

We would be just as damaged actually, the Marines Malevolent would be dead. It's worth keeping in mind that during confrontation with the Goddess they had no recourse, no weapons that could hurt her and she could sure as hell kill them. That is what finally struck home and got them to listen, the fact that they could have been killed out of hand and were instead offered the chance to withdraw in peace.
We ultimately won because the failures of the Imperium had already broken their faith. A planetary governor with a simple bolt pistol managed to wound us with faith in the emperor. Our "victory" was only an excuse for them to stand up for what they already knew behind the cold visages of their helmets. Not only do the Marines Malevolent not care for the suffering of the masses, they actively embody all the suffering that the Emperor has caused. Their faith in the hatred preached by the Imperium would have given them a decent shot at victory.

[X]Plan: Peace, earth, and MAGIC

Elysium is a nice defensive Domain, Earth is great for Infrastructure, and Sorcery is the Swiss Army Knife of Domains. Elysium will go a long way to protecting our Cultists from strife, both internal and external. Earth is just a great all rounder, massive bonus to Industry and Quality of Life. Sorcery let's our Mortal Champions really punch up, and our Cultists get some additions. Downside of course being that Sorcery does have a chance of failure, though I'm not sure how bad miscasts are now.

No I'm pretty sure we could have killed them all dead there at the end. This is not the sort of thing a Marine lies about, it wold have been a dishonor to their Battle Brothers.

"You could have killed us all"

"Yes"

They faced a Goddess in flesh in the heart of Her power. Their weapons were useless, their prowess insufficient. Had they not listened they would have died, but this was just one Company.

Um, that's not what happened. That's not what happened at all.

I have prepared my final Auramite Banisher, and will arrange a confrontation. If my gamble is correct, then I will be able to draw the entity into a single place, where I can deliver a true death upon it and release my daughter and the people it has twisted.

He pretty clearly used a Very high end weapon that was designed to be able to kill Daemon Princes or Greater Daemons as that's what he thought he was dealing with.

In terms of raw power I suspect that is about where we are, the difference is we are the Inheritor of the Throne of Seven. We are not any larger than a Daemon Prince, not any stronger, but we are denser, a primordial power of the Warp though in its infancy.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if we have the Raw Power to throw down with a 40k Daemon Prince as fluff wise those guys can basically solo worlds, we could probably do so with a WHFB Daemon Prince. I'm in full agreement with that we are Denser though.

Given the scale of miracles we did (like the time a minor psyker took down the walls of Lambert to dust with our aid) I think we actually are that strong. It's just that we are limited in other ways:
  1. Not willing to break our hosts in possession
  2. Not willing to use mass human sacrifice to weaken the Veil until we can come through unassisted
As Mcgonagall says to Dumbledore in the first chapter of the Philosopher's Stone 'because you are too noble to use such powers'.

I already complained on how the Cult of Verdance doesn't quite feel like a religion outside of Dana's speeches, but beyond that I also feel as if the Imperial Cult doesn't feel like a religion any lay people believe here.

I mean we are literally Satan from the old books and we conquered a planet city by city, yet we had no instance of really really upset religious folks on screen. Just people who didn't really know us, found us weird, liked our cause on a political level, or joined our cult. I'd have expected lots of fanatic preaching, scared old folk looking at our parades in terror, people not understanding why their friends are willing to sell their souls for a good life, general wailing, and even the occasional suicide attack (or just suicide).

Are you going for a unreliable narrator thing where, because the Verdant Maiden only lives and experiences the world through her true believers (plus a couple of very opportunistic seeming Champions) doesn't see the negative sides of her expansion? But even then there should be a significant portion of "sadly unreasonable crazies" in every area where the majority "sees the good we are doing".

Cegorach: "Oh, we'll come to blows eventually - not even I can hold the Eldar back once they find out about these meddling kids, and then it'll all collapse into another downward spiral of revenge and tragedy. But until then... Oh my Me. So... many... jokes..."

These people were both starving and getting flayed alive by alien robots while both government and church did nothing, no miracles of the Emperor in sight, then the state tries to launch a propaganda attack on us and fails thanks to our efforts and loses militarily after attempting to kill some of their still mostly non-cult population. The Emperor is far away the Verdant Maiden is here and working actual miracles.

I do think we are kind of lacking in fanatics doing desperate things, but it would kind of clash with the tone of the quest.

Screw it, I'M ROLLING FOR LOVE!

[X] Plan Give me gacha or give me death
[X] Plan Rolling for that Samsara

Yes, I know that these plans are identical, I VOTE FOR THEM ANYWAYS!

huh, must have missed the first one.

[X] Plan Rolling for that Samsara
-[X] Elysium: The power of peace, sanctuary, and safety. Mastery of the Elysium Domain grant access to wards and bindings capable of enforcing peace upon limited areas While these cannot be used to protect combattants-such wards are proof even against indiscrimate attacks as long as the peaceful reside within them.
-[X] Transcendence: There are deeper secrets, you merely need to reach for them. Roll 1d100, the result is compared to a table and a new formerly Restricted Domain is granted as an Associated Domain. It's basically a Gacha, some can be very good, some can be mediocre, and some are about on par with your standard choices, you just don't know what you'll get!
