We Are the Gods of a New World Order [Warhammer 50K ~ Warp God Simulator]

[X] Plan Last Chance Before We Dance
Hmmm. As much as I loathe having to leave one Domain out of the Flayer Vessel investigation action, I think that we don't much of a choice if we want to optimize our plate-spinning before the big assault. Don't want to take one out of the Vanguard Doctrine, because that will be crucial for both the assault on the capital and against the Space Marines. And making sure via the scouting action that there aren't any... surprises that won't completely ruin everything before we even get started is probably best served by throwing at least one Domain to it if we can't throw Heroes to it. Lets just hope that Warmaiden -bonus will trigger for this also, but I'm not hopeful about that part.

Otherwise, pretty solid. For the necron-tech, like some discussion in the discord pointed out, Harvest + Artifice is likely pretty much the optimal combo for looting the thing. Harvest is specifically VM's looting Domain, while Artifice is obviously good fit for highly sophisticated non-biotech. And as discussed here in-thread before, if I can get only one for the assault on the capital and the Space Marines, like many others I'm for the Vanguard Doctrine over the Rifle Doctrine. We are against both the Auxillia and Space Marines, both well protected against "lesser" weapons, which is noted to be the Rifle Doctrine's specific weakness.

Yeah, I have no complaints against the actual plan here, just the situation that forces us to choose between the shiny and maximizing survival chances.

[X] Plan Last Chance Before We Dance

[X] Plan Loot and Prep, Vanguard Edition

[X] Plan Last Chance Before We Dance
-[X] Anything else we miss? (Unknown DC)
--[X] Manpower Token (2 left)
--[X] Domains: Connection (5 left)
-[X] Explore the Flayer Vessel (DC ???)
--[X] Heroic Unit: Dana (1 uses left)
--[X] Heroic Unit: Layla (0 uses left)
--[X] Domains: Harvest, Artifice (3 left)
-[X] Prepare for War (DC 50)
--[X] Heroic Unit: Dana (0 uses left)
--[X] Manpower Token (1 left)
-[X] Training the Troops: Vanguard Doctrine (Requires 1 Manpower + Horatio Mills) (DC 60)
--[X] Heroic Unit: Horatio (0 uses left)
--[X] Manpower Token (0 left)
--[X] Domains: Endurance, Weaving, Death (0 left)

If we get a good miracle on the ship, then we might, might be able to use it in our assault, if we still do not have time to learn how to use it, then maybe we can get a few guns or something from it, idk.

Fingers crossed tho!

Um, is this edge or depression?
You do know this quote is like... Warhammer 101? Right there with METAL BAWKSES (the cowards!).
First heard it in Dawn of War, a select response from a SM Librarian.

There's also "An open mind is like a fortress with it's gates unbarred and unguarded." or "There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt"

In fact, just go read some of those quotes. It's essentially basic 40k (meme) literacy.
Edit: Coming to think of it- that list is better, and youtube has actual voice lines.

Either way, what is the point you are trying to make? Are you asserting that people should not have hope? Do you think disappointment is a good thing and is a reason to have hope? I am perplexed here. Perplexed I say!

planning on hopes of something we dont have any real basis is bad idea

i have no problem with reasonable hope (like hoping getting nice tech for overflowing in a research)
but putting high hopes in finding a silver bullet against the space marines despite not having any indication of that is more along the lines of delusional hope, wich most likely than not, leads to dissapointments

A 40k quote, ah. Thank you for clearing that up.

The sentiment that is carried by those words is pretty stupid imo: "hope is the first step to disappointment" carries (to me) the implication "so you should just lie down and wait to die" (hence why I asked if it was 'edge or depression'); but 40k is a setting where the pov characters tend to be from a hyper-authoritarian state, so the quote is not surprising.

No. I think that is likely to do little but make me feel anger and contempt, but I am grateful for your intent in linking a resource for my education.

I am hopeful that with our Artifice token and Harvest domain that we will be able to use this ship, because the action implies that it is a thing that can be done, but is unlikely to be something we can do in time. Also, I am confused about what part of my post led you to believe that the ship will be a 'silver bullet' Highly useful, and might be the difference between loss and victory, but not something that would do all the work itself.

Tbh, I thought that the words 'might, might' conveyed that I considered getting the ship operational was very much a longshot. The basis being "roll a 95+" which is a thing that could really happen, and might get us a working ship.

Your expansion on what you meant by your depressing edgy quote makes me think that you read my post quickly without thinking about the bits I emphasised, as to my eyes, you are speaking against something I did not assert.

Edit: This dumbfuck clicked on that link. I am now angry and wish to cause harm to the people who wrote those lines and everyone who went along with making that game, be it by cruel word or sugar in their car engines.

Ah, and here comes the contempt. Didn't expect it to take that long.

Because her core image was split between standard nature goddess memes and the incredible repression that pretty much 99% of the thoughts and feelings sent to form her experience.

So you get that funny bit where she's a goddess of life but finds the act of procreation to be incredibly awkward to think about, so she tries not to and gets flustered when it happens anyway (Which leads to the push back, which leads to people getting the wrong idea and getting more creative, and there you go)

(Also this is how I enforce a PG-13 theme because fucking hell if I give people an inch they'll take a mile)
Who. Does that mena that Slaanesh's little adventurer boi also thinks that way? Or did s/he get a more healthy mix of sexual attitudes?
