On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

I just remember that there will probably be no Black Orcs because there will probably be no Chaos Dwarfs. Or am I wrong.
They were created by chaos dwarfs to serve as better slaves but escaped.

Thematically I think the weapon loadouts are backwards there...
Thematically maybe, but practically the claws are better for the cutting weapon, and the wings are better for the self-enhancement and aura effect.

And the Master Rune of Currents is pretty clearly meant for a cutting weapon.

Plus there's the "flared wings = intimidation" connection.

With the actual meaning based on what he said seeming to be that he left a blank space for us to decide whether or not we wanted to put in runes. Which makes sense since runesmiths aren't under him and runesmiths do decide for themselves what commission to take.
Thing is, would you rather bear with Morgrim grumbling about no Runes in the Aerie, or grumbling about the choices of Runes used to ward the Aerie?

Eh well see, Hashut isn't dead, so I have no doubt he's going to try something else to break free. If that results in eventual black orcs or not who can say?

Well, it seems like we will be spending pretty much all our dragon ogre corpses (bar Kholek) in explosive research.

What a waste.

[Tier 4] Dragon Ogre Shaggoth Corpse x15
[Tier 3] Dragon Ogre Corpse x45
No...we are going to have 9 Shaggoths and 18 dragon ogres left.

Which given the size of both is enough that we are not going to be running out of either anytime soon judging by how much we got out of a single big dragon.

That being said @BungieONI maybe bring along some dragon ogre parts since we're figuring out a use for em?

But alright, I get your point. It still feels like a waste.
Bah, each one is the size of a hill and 7 examples each of their major organs (sans heart cause Kholek's) which is enough to trigger the rule of pride assuming we used them exclusively for a while. We're not going to be running out of organs and we're going to be rolling in hide blood and bone for a long time assuming we're using the same things from the dragon. And of course there's the eternal problem, there will always be more shaggoths for some enterprising beardlings to go off and hit with axes, hell we may even become a central locale for that, but Snorri's time, on the other hand, we have far less of that.

Personally I'm split cause we managed to retain Yorri so I want to do more research, but I understand why that's not necessarily the most engaging etc. for me and others.

I do understand. It feels like throwing treasure away, and a bigger hoard, is a better hoard.

But-

-Yeah.

mmmm @soulcake curiosity questions.

1. are all griffons sparking with lightening now all the time, or was that just in the immediate aftermath of the king doing his thing?
2. Is Karak Drakk still surrounded by lightening clouds all the time?

...People have no problem with using 2 runes for the Aeries. It's just that a large number of people think that 3 actions is just plain excessive. It's outright noted that one action would be satisfactory work while 2 now would give 3 overflow. Seriously, the argument that people keep missing is that there is only so much we can realistically do. It really doesn't take that much to put the best runes and 3 overflow is already a lot at this point since we honestly can't do better than an ancestor who already did the physical bits.

This is literally the exact argument people used against people obsessing over defenses that there is only so much that we can do since Snorri already used all his knowledge to the best of his abilities for things like the defenses. The QM literally has gone on record to state that there are indeed caps to how much work we can put into something until we get diminishing returns.

I've been convinced that it probably wouldn't be for the best spending three actions on the Griffons, but I really want to do some, so I'll approval vote the next leading plan which works on them, while still keeping my old vote up until there second place option isn't one spending no actions on it.

[X] Plan: Movement of Griffons
[X] Plan All the Griffon Stuff

I would like to make a big (double-handed) hammer out of the end material when we have completely researched Gromil. Nice with 'fuck you chaos' runes.
