Whilst I don't like the Host and will be seen as ratting out Malkimon ultimately I don't want the Host to have to deal with the Gloaming not only spying but also out right sabotaging from within. I am wiling to bet they have plans to pull an Envy from full metal alchemist brother hood.

Tempest's argument convinced me to switch my vote.

Gonna admit I see him as another brother to Verg right now.
I don't think there is any saving them in general, with Thresh they're maybe some sort of brain washing but ultimately digimon adapt to their surroundings and where they've been they needed to become as they are to live. I do want to have positive relations with them but I think its going to end with Verg not really being able to connect with them and possibly never really talking to them again.

If this guy works for Malkimon(which he likely does), then there's no real difference either way we go. odds are Malkimon's accounted for either scenario and incorporated them into her Scenario. so either way we go, All is According to The Scenario.

Do you think our family really want to get back together again? We know that Luna at least likes us somewhat but I can't remember anything indicating she desperately wants to get the family back together. Thresh right now is mainly concerned about fighting and strength so not really sure he cares and I think Auger would only want the money we own him.

Vamdemon has a hypnosis ability, we know that. Under it all both Verge and his siblings are still similar, though Luna has a cruel streak...so does Sparks, and while Thresh has temper control issues, so did Verge.
They identify as siblings even through the brainwashing, suggesting Count would find it either too hard or it erases their value in the process.
Eh I just worried we're gonna find out that whilst they do like us their values will end up being so different from Verg to the point where they might not want to be back together like Verg wants to be. Not out of hatred or anything but just not actually being able to connect with each other. Also even if they are under Hypnosis they still have spent a long time in their environment and so whilst it may help to get them out of it I don't think they are simply gonna revert back.

Because this was the guy instructed to watch over and protect us. I suspect he's following his original orders still to some extent or another, and I don't want to alienate him until we know our family is taken care of.

.... Well we do want to ditch the Host eventually and our bois are kind of in arena city at the moment. My question is weather or not this guy is the infiltraitor in question given that he appears to be outright sneaking around as opposed to being a traitor handing over secrets to the Gloaming.

So far as we can tell he has no negative feelings towards us, addressed Verge with respect, and likely is going to inform Malkimon of this new development.
Speaking of Malkimon, I'd like to reiterate something. She may have done work for Daemon, but she's not considered part of the Gloaming. The Great Arena is a city-state that she rules. She's a faction unto herself, much like Calamaramon. She was likely hired on for some kind of project, and if the Host could bend their stiff necks enough, they may be able to contract her services as well. At least, they might have been able to before the fight between Daemon and Seraphimon severely damaged the place. I imagine that both factions have a frosty reception. And for all we know she has a working relationship with Bulwark. So her having a spy here doesn't automatically mean that it's the Gloaming leak, and I would hope she'd have a spy that's competent enough to not leave an obvious opening for the Gloaming to take advantage of.

This is not to argue against the option but I do feel oblidged to point out that the reason we haven't had more regular contact from the bois is because of Arena city freezing contact between itself and the Host.
Something I've been wondering about, considering what stage Verg is at how does he rate on talents compared to other digimon?

Across the board his talents are considered Ultimate level. Indeed, his physical talents are comparable to DinoKnightmon.

Sometimes characters aren't as one-dimensional as they first appear to be.
Beat's more or less the only mon willing to tell Verge the *truth* about this. As for Verge... he's caught between flat denial and knowing in his core that Beat's words are at least partially true.
Yes. He had 17 of them in just the batch he was present in. However they all died before they could form proper digicores.
That's assuming I'm just ripping everything from DMC and throwing it into the setting because I'm too lazy to write my own lore beyond expy this and expy that.
But seriously, no. I'm not doing that. Verge doesn't have a brother named Daunt or Dante out there running his own business where he kills demonic digimon. *Sparda* isn't a thing and Verge isn't half human.

Verge's talents started off kind of average and geared towards a tank build.

I think BanchoLeomon fits the bill being a generalist Leomon Mega with this "The "GAKU-RAN" worn over its shoulders is endowed with a defensive function that negates 89.9% of the opponent's physical strikes." Which could explain the tank leanings.
