[X][ISLANDS] Siege. Under constant, focused, withering artillery bombardment from naval and shore-based batteries, on soft, level ground, and with no real entrenching gear, the islands will be unable to hold out even if given an untouched supply line by air. Erode them over weeks of artillery bombardment, landing only once all activity has either ceased or been thoroughly suppressed.
[X][NEWS] Spread the word as far as it will go. Inform the world that you lived up to your promises. Ensure that everybody know that you beat Victoria. See if that shakes something loose from this embargo, and or perhaps motivates those foreign observers and spies to make recommendations at home.

Let us end this.

And I can then get around to writing Part II of the CS propaganda, and possibly some propaganda from the general socialist side too (so as to not get into a rut).

@PoptartProdigy Do the Victorians have banners and the like that can be thrown at the feet of the triumphant Commonwealth leadership? (Like in those Soviet victory parade youtube videos I showed). And do they have some other major national symbols etc? Like eagles, statues of Victoria, flags, or copies of the anti-technology pledge?

I think that the Vics have "properly translated" (read: heavily edited) Bibles? They probably issue those to every single soldier, plus carry more for propaganda purposes, there are probably 200,000+ Victorian Bibles resting between Toledo and Detroit.

Maybe copies of Rumford's memoirs as well?

[x][ISLANDS] Assault. You are not actually sanguine about the possibility of resupply. You fear Victorian-flagged Russian weapons landing on those islands. Sure, Vicks aren't qualified to use those weapons, and rainy with a chance of artillery shells is not the ideal environment under which to learn, but they might get lucky. Of course, you will black out the sky with your artillery shells, but you will do so while landing troops as swiftly as possible.

Bad optics to do anything to those. Besides I think the Victorians would probably just use the King James Bible, just as I think their theology would be heavily cherry picked small o orthodoxy mixed with generic protestantism.

Maybe copies of Rumford's memoirs as well?

Now THOSE and pictures of that "martyr" governor could be burned, but I got an idea for that.

All updates are on emergency hold, as all computers in my house are unexpectedly out of action.
Thing is, these quests are my break, so I'm actually livid about this. :mob: Fuck it, we've been building a laptop fund. Let's see how far it takes us.

(Context I've realized I should give: I've been using my wife's Mac while accruing funds to repair my far more expensive personal PC. A half-hour ago, the Mac three-beeped me when I tried to start it. )

Do you have a PayPal, GoFundMe, Patreon etc.? Not just to help with this problem but to help support and reward such great works! I know I'd like to support you once I have the disposable income.

Papers Please is always playing in the background.

Now that's a law I can get behind! Would explain why there's such a large line to get into the country if we transplant the game's setting from Glorious Arstotzka to the Machine State (not saying that there aren't countless reasons to visit or immigrate to Arstotzka, of course :V ).

Now I feel the need to write an omake about an immigration officer of the Commonwealth after the Eris Campaign is wrapped up!

If this isn't going to drain resources next turn then I see no reason to choose Assualt. The rewards are too low and the risks too high to attack now.

We could always use a sponsor (as long as they don't have want that diverge from our image too extremely or expect us to bee in debt/visualised to them forever) - let's see if we can we the current PR tide favouring us and the massive lift of our profile to attract one or more. Or at least some aid, friends or respect.

As AKuz said, various holy or, "holy," texts. They disdain standardization sufficient to have unit symbols, but many forces will have private iconography. Eagles, crosses, little pictures of their founding fathers. That sort of thing.

Oh, I have a computer fund. And don't want to make the spectacularly risky move of making money on other people's IP.

I think they use a heavily edited bible that has had any mention of women doing things removed, plus some other changes. I'm not sure if burning those would really anger any of our religious communities.

1. This is propaganda. We are going to be showing a bunch of books thrown into a fire, we arn't going to be showing the individual contents. And Victoria keeps information going out small enough no one is going to know. Also someone watching propaganda of Bibles burning and then the commonwealth saying "no see they were actually bad edited ones" is not going to go down well. Even if true, how long till we decided their version of the bible is also bad, and can be burned?

2. I highly doubt they edited the bible. They have a cult of tradition, and would want to keep things like that. Now would the edit it if the felt they needed to? Sure. But they don't. Hundreds of extremely patriarchal societies, including the original English Victorian's used the bible. The idea that they would need to bother editing the bible to support patriarchy is sadly optimistic.
