Trying to make a case for expression and spirits:

Spirits leans into how Ling Qi sees spirits as people, as a foundational social art the statement that Ling Qi sees spirits the same as humans is not a given and is something I would like to promote. It also dovetails with her resolution to further develop her spirit beast rapport given the direction she took with the Songseeker Ceremony.

Expression ties back into how Ling Qi views music as a medium of communication, during the excursion arc Ling Qi could grasp the intentions of the hill spirit due to her grasp on the nature of music. I think that the first foundational social art that Ling Qi cultivates should include how she actually views the world through the lens of her cultivation; it's why sincerity is currently at first place.

Very interesting update. I really like the politics aspect so far.

I don't think anybody else mentioned this particular tidbit, but Wu Jing is absolutely correct.

Ling Qi doesn't really see the Emerald Seas nobility. Partly out of (cultivator) ambition, partly out of arrogance and partly out of merit, she really only sees people from count houses and upwards (and ridiculously talented people) as peers.

Which 90% of nobility isn't.

[X] Mystery
[X] Lies
[X] Sincerity

[X][Role] Social Intrigue

Don't really see a reason why not to have a contradiction in the things I vote for. While it may result in some weird build, contradiction is inherent to the human condition.

Well, seeing how the most popular are Sincerity, Mystery, Mischief, Wind, and Spirits, I really doubt we're getting the Big Sis archetype that I hoped we'd get.

I would say that you do not even see them as your peers.

Even today, you approached this gathering as a tiresome chore.
They got us, run! I find it hilarious how accurate this was though.

[X] Wind
[X] Connections
[X] Mystery

[X][Role] Social

We have some clear runaway winners, so I'm showing up others I like.

An argument for Connections: Its been in every social art we've seen so far, indicating its pretty central for a good social art. And more importantly, its about connections between us and our friends/ family as well as to new people in our lives. How much better would we have done in this last chapter (socializing and mending fences with the ES nobles), had we been using a social art with keyword Connections? A lot better. I'm not saying we did badly of course but seriously...Connections are about the relationships we value, the relationships between others that we need to understand and the new relationships we form. Important.
