[X] A beautiful and alluring piece (Control, Balanced, Manipulation)
[X] A quiet and melancholic piece (Defensive, Yin, Composure)
I also feel the arguments that the bombastic/overbearing/damage/presence/yang is most Hanyi's "nature" are off base. First, she's certainly demanding and not shy with her opinions, but I'd hesitate to call her "overbearing" or "bombastic" per se. She's a poorly socialized kid used to being under the protection of the strongest thing around, with virtually no empathy. But yes, the first choice does fit her pretty well. At the same time, she's a prideful show-off who independently embarked on a month-long quest to demonstrate how cool and grown up she is, just like her Big Sis, which easily fits into the motives of the second available piece. Hanyi also historically experienced a lot of loneliness, isolation, and boredom even before her mother exploded. She's got plenty of experience to draw on in composing a more somber piece, and it can be an excellent form of contemplation to process and understand those feelings. It doesn't mean wallowing in it, however, as demonstrated by Ling Qi in her practice of both FVM and FSS. There's no reason to expect that the piece would necessarily be about her mother's death at all, even.
In more mechanistic terms, Hanyi's predominantly Yin aligned by nature, so if anything a "nature" argument should point at the third piece. I don't think that's a super good argument though. And the last point I feel like making is, yes Hanyi's Manipulation isn't great(and a manipulative Hanyi is probably even more of a handful, heh), but since the attribute is kind of important for landing hits, maybe deliberately snubbing it isn't the most optimal choice there is. Also I lied, here's another point: having more Control is always hilarious and douchey, which is the pinnacle of virtue.
