[X] Ruan Shen sought her out, seeking musically inclined help for a particularly troublesome elder's challenge he has discovered.

[x] Shen Hu approached you for once. He has found the abandoned lair of an underworld dragon, but is not confident that he can face the scavengers that fill it unopposed.

So, mmh. I was saying earlier that LFWT1 was a slight downgrade to SCS8. While it might be true in an absolutist sense, it's definitely not true for Ling Qi. Upon looking and thinking more about the potential applications of LFWT, it just synergise so much better with Ling Qi's build that it ends up a lot better.
To be fair from past experience we know the first level of a successor art tends to be a bit weaker than the Mastered predecessor art. Been there done that. The magic is going PAST it fast.

In before Hanyi was found by an old man senile underworld dragon who teased her just a bit too much and is currently lost from home. He is worried he left the pill stove on.

Okay we now have the inevitable changelog to newly introduced arts, rebalancing and fixing unclear effects

Changelog:

SSC now partially converts drip XP to domain xp and boosts spirit growth based on bond level

EPC8 has the perception bonus and the final drip xp go permanent

Beast Kings damage has been nerfed all around, but the first tech penalizes enemy perception and hit, eagle gods damage is weakened, but the tech is now short duration and the construct attacks until the tech ends

UGM uses presence for dispels, second tech stacks with itself, so if you keep using it the target is getting chain smacked by up to three attacks per turn

Wind thief has the passives adjusted a bit first tech got initiative boost back, and can be chain cast at lower cost if theirs no gap in activations. SCS loses some offensive utility but if you chain the defensive aspect you get lower cost

The Beast King nerf was weird and unwelcome. Though weird that it gets things we dont actually need and dont seem to actually fit the art to replace it. Does not really seem to fit the theme of the art.

But well less damage means it dropped to maybe later instead of must have as FSS will keep being better at least until Green 5.

that's fair the C rank damage attacks over such a huge range are a bit strong for level one though. Would bonuses to hit and avoid be better do you think, indicating enemies getting disoriented from the chaos?

Hits to Perception in general would be better there. Functionally identical, but thematically way more appropriate and keys off PLRs stuff as well.

Its super offensively bent, so it should manifest in debuffs, not buffs.

Edit:
Like, we don't need Beast King's Dirge to be literally FVM 2.0.

The role of perception filters and combat stealth are handled just fine by other parts of Ling Qi's kit, Wind Thief specifically.

Glacier replaces the lost in the Mist effect along with the eagle yeeting for battlefield control.

To add on to this, if you really want bonuses to hit to be a thing, just increase the multi-attacker bonus from the first tech by one. This gets balanced out by someone having sufficiently high defenses, or a MA-resisting tech like Ji Rong does.

I mostly wanted to balance the reduced damage with a bonus. Eagle gods change is balanced by the construct getting to hang around and Yeet a few times instead of once, but war calling needed something else. A penalty to enemy perception and hit is more thematic and synergistic tho

[X] Hanyi came to her, complaining about being bullied while playing on the mountain. Something about her claim makes you dubious though...
