Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

I think Alexandria might just be getting an "upgrade" to Extinction Knight after this. We can't repair whatever damage those nanites do to her body because her body is unchanging, unaging, and indestructable. We'll need to make her healable before we can heal her, shutting off her Corona will go nicely. And of course, losing Alexandria would be terrible for morale, so we can pull the PRT's favorite power move and lie our ass off that everything is fine while giving her a template and hoping she ramps up fast enough no-one will notice.

Will have to do something about that cancer, but.

You know how I said Samantha could have had a heroic death? Originally Alexandria was supposed to be in her place and vice versa. :o Now it's just Alexandria who's in mortal danger… Oh…

Uhm.. Alexandrias power works by keeping her body in temporal stasis. That even works to the point of her not growing any older at all. I don't see how nanites can just take out bites to work with. There certainly is no room for complex methods to grab any surface material in a single nanite. Leviathan uses a defence of compact mass that grows back quickly, so there isn't even any need for that, just something simple and efficient to take as much mass as quickly as possible.

That won't keep any other cape safe though. After so many deaths, will Levi have filled his quota and leave, i wonder?

[X] Attack Sparky. He has already shown he doesn't care about collateral damage.
- [X] Put him in a ring bind and teleport him to Dragon or Tim for holding and interrogation on his nanites

- [X] Take him to the headquarters after the battle and tell them about how and why he broke the truce.
He killed people for a rep boost so that's exactly what he deserves.

"Four months!" he gasps. "You don't get it! It's been hard enough to avoid the Elite's recruiters until now. They'll track me down and force me to join before the next Endbringer fight! But if I kill Leviathan here and now?" His goggles gleam as he smiles madly. "The Tinker who kills Leviathan will be as famous as Dragon. I'll be untouchable. The Elite won't dare to make a move against me.

He's doing this because he's afraid of the elite right? So we could tell him that he's suceeded in getting the PRT/protectorate's attention.

That after seeing what he made they will be happy to keep him safe and that we will even bring him to dragon's attention.

We just have to make sure we don't mention that all the attention is because he's made himself a S class threat out of literaly rusted scrap. If he doesn't get a pre-signed kill order after this I'll be shocked.

Any mistakes in his coding and we've got a runaway grey goo on our hands and with his current show of "competence" nobody's going to want to eaving him unsupervised

Is Alexandria even injured? My understanding is that her body is basically timelocked. If you read the update, it says she ripped off her costume (because it was being eaten by the nanites), and then dive-bombed Leviathan with a scream of rage.
Yes the guy is a truce breaker (for wanting to keep shooting even with people in the way), but Alexandria is no more harmed then she ever is at an EB fight.

It's stated that her costume is destroyed, and begins to reveal her skin, it never states that she herself is actually being injured by the nanites. Because of her unique form of invincibility it's safe to say she won't be affected by the nanites. The tinker Sparky created these nanites with the intent of taking out Leviathan, not alexandria. Notably, one is invincible, the other is not. That does not refute that Sparky's nanites are injuring other capes however.

[X] Break the cannon. No gun, no problem, and Legend can deal with him after.

While his nanites caused large amounts of friendly-fire, they were proving effective even if for a moment. Because of how they function, they can effectively counter the Leviathan's regeneration. Remember that when Phantasm was in the other dimension, the attacks did very little to the Simurgh, despite being powerful. What was lost was immediately restored. Sparky's nanites prevent this regeneration as they rebuild themselves from the enemy. What? Has nobody here read Memories of Iron? While it isn't canon (ofc, it's a fic) the concept is still viable, especially as it might even be able to affect the deepest parts of Leviathan should they be given time. We can't attack him as that would cause him to not want to work with us regardless of our arguments for assistance. Don't forget guys, tinker powers are crazy powerful. If a tinker says their creation can do something, it's typically because they know their creation can do it, not only because they want to inflate their ego.

- [X] Put him in a ring bind and teleport him to Dragon or Tim for holding and interrogation on his nanites

This will be absolutely necessary if Leviathan should survive this encounter, and sorry, but with the way things are going, I think this one has already gone FUBAR with the loss of a large amount of capes. We don't know how many capes were lost because Perfect Storm disabled that function. His nanites are causing friendly fire because he's specced in nanotechnology, not because he wants that to happen. He does want to survive fighting Leviathan, and he can't do that if a villain kills him out of anger for killing their partner. Countering this, we have Shipwright who is is learning to create Artificial Intelligence systems. Pairing his AI's with Nanotechnology will get rid of the friendly fire problem, enabling the nanites to be used in more situation that just against endbringers. When Dragon and Defiant worked together on things, their new systems were better than before weren't they?

- [X] After the battle, persuade him using bribery of recognition and further development of his technology. Allow him to work with fellow tinkers in developing newer, better versions of his current tech.
( [X] Talk Sparky out of attacking again. Requires a strong in-character argument. Attempt. )
He's here because he believes he can get recognition by damaging and possibly defeating Leviathan. He has confidence in his technology, and knows it's effective. He's a pragmatist seeing he's okay with losing other capes so long as his invention works. He's also here because he's desperate for attention, and greedy enough for said attention to risk his life. If he can work with the tinker that "Created Calamity Witch's Powers" and Dragon, it's almost certain to make him side with Taylor. This is in somewhat OOC for Taylor, as she herself is strong in her beliefs, but we can always have Dragon herself try to persuade Sparky, thus reinforcing the idea that he'll actually be given the opportunity to collaborate with them. This might result in having to give up the secret of how Taylor's powers were created, but he's specialized in nanotechnology, not Artificial Intelligence so he wouldn't be able to create his own Logia anyways. Furthermore, he's trying to avoid a specific group (The Elite), and their recruiters. He can be given asylum in Taylor's group as it's a well-known, and fairly powerful group on it's own. It has ties with the Protectorate, and Dragon's own organisation, so they even more powerful as a whole. There's no reason not to try to recruit him, and there's no reason to kill/attack him either.

Jesus Christ guys, you're bloodthirsty. Last I checked this wasn't a Chinese Martial Arts Novel, why you all want him to bleed??

Wait, where does Taylor live again? Well anyways, pretty sure it's out of the Elite's area of influence if I'm looking at this map of the U.S.A properly. And since the city Taylor lives in has fairly grounded gangs and capes in general, unless the Elite try to bribe Jotun Guy, they won't get a foothold on the city's turf.

I can't believe that no one is asking the real questions here. Since Alexandria tore off her costume, someone on the field had to have gotten an eyeful. Here's to hope someone thinks to get her something to cover up and protect her decency. :lol

Sydney is screwed. Gray goo is travelling all around the city through the water. That tinker may have killed the whole city, we may even have to use Ragnarok so that it does not spread if Sparky did not build a kill switch.

I don't even want to think about what could happen if some of those nanites wash out to sea with Leviathan when he leaves.

If we do decide to shoot rust shooter at Alexandria to kill the nannites we should probably make sure we tell her what we're doing as we prep to fire. That or announce it over the intercoms to everyone who survive so they can point us at additional survivors for rust blasting treatment

Its common with high end Brutes and Changers to have to get used to clothes not hanging around :V

Attacking Sparky is US breaking the Endbringer Truce.

Technically, Sparky is just a dick who doesn't care about collateral damage.
