[X] Break the cannon. No gun, no problem, and Legend can deal with him after.
While his nanites caused large amounts of friendly-fire, they were proving effective even if for a moment. Because of how they function, they can effectively counter the Leviathan's regeneration. Remember that when Phantasm was in the other dimension, the attacks did very little to the Simurgh, despite being powerful. What was lost was immediately restored. Sparky's nanites prevent this regeneration as they rebuild themselves from the enemy. What? Has nobody here read Memories of Iron? While it isn't canon (ofc, it's a fic) the concept is still viable, especially as it might even be able to affect the deepest parts of Leviathan should they be given time. We can't attack him as that would cause him to not want to work with us regardless of our arguments for assistance. Don't forget guys, tinker powers are crazy powerful. If a tinker says their creation can do something, it's typically because they know their creation can do it, not
only because they want to inflate their ego.
- [X] Put him in a ring bind and teleport him to Dragon or Tim for holding and interrogation on his nanites
This will be absolutely necessary if Leviathan should survive this encounter, and sorry, but with the way things are going, I think this one has already gone FUBAR with the loss of a large amount of capes.
We don't know how many capes were lost because Perfect Storm disabled that function. His nanites are causing friendly fire because he's specced in nanotechnology, not because he wants that to happen. He does want to survive fighting Leviathan, and he can't do that if a villain kills him out of anger for killing their partner. Countering this, we have Shipwright who is is learning to create Artificial Intelligence systems. Pairing his AI's with Nanotechnology will get rid of the friendly fire problem, enabling the nanites to be used in more situation that just against endbringers. When Dragon and Defiant worked together on things, their new systems were better than before weren't they?
- [X] After the battle, persuade him using bribery of recognition and further development of his technology. Allow him to work with fellow tinkers in developing newer, better versions of his current tech.
( [X] Talk Sparky out of attacking again. Requires a strong in-character argument. Attempt. )
He's here because he believes he can get recognition by damaging and possibly defeating Leviathan. He has confidence in his technology, and knows it's effective. He's a pragmatist seeing he's okay with losing other capes so long as his invention works. He's also here because he's desperate for attention, and greedy enough for said attention to risk his life. If he can work with the tinker that "Created Calamity Witch's Powers" and Dragon, it's almost certain to make him side with Taylor. This is in somewhat OOC for Taylor, as she herself is strong in her beliefs, but we can always have
Dragon herself try to persuade Sparky, thus reinforcing the idea that he'll actually be given the opportunity to collaborate with them. This might result in having to give up the secret of how Taylor's powers were created, but he's specialized in
nanotechnology, not
Artificial Intelligence so he wouldn't be able to create his own
Logia anyways. Furthermore, he's trying to avoid a specific group (The Elite), and their recruiters. He can be given asylum in Taylor's group as it's a well-known, and fairly powerful group on it's own. It has ties with the Protectorate, and Dragon's own organisation, so they even more powerful as a whole. There's no reason not to try to recruit him, and there's no reason to kill/attack him either.
Jesus Christ guys, you're bloodthirsty. Last I checked this wasn't a Chinese Martial Arts Novel, why you all want him to bleed??
Wait, where does Taylor live again? Well anyways, pretty sure it's out of the Elite's area of influence if I'm looking at this map of the U.S.A properly. And since the city Taylor lives in has fairly grounded gangs and capes in general, unless the Elite try to bribe Jotun Guy, they won't get a foothold on the city's turf.
