Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Personally, i chose to vote for SCS not because i think it will be super useful or critical.
I'm more interested in the theme of becomming shadow.
SCS feels like the right skill to master for us.

As someone who's skimmed through most of the discussion, what are the pros and cons between SCS and CDE? I'm seeing a lot of people switching to CDE all of a sudden.

Well, the way I see it is that the only con for each of the options is that we won't have the other two options to use. Other than that, each art is strictly an upgrade on what they do.

For SCS, the pro is that the next level increases our defense and mobility, and provides an emergency escape button in case we need to get out of dodge quickly.

For CDE, the pro is that the "Seeking Moon's Eyes" goes from a long duration to a persistent duration, with some serious speed increases. Additionally, there is a cool non-combat tech that can be used once we explore a site or become familiar with a person to spy without really getting caught.

SCS is about traversing the land quicker and then getting out easier, CDE is about having better means of observing large areas and a better chance of finding something, or someone.

Since they're both great options, the question becomes the voter's priorities.

The new CDE also implies a detection ability. If you try to view a person and it works you know they are within 5km of you.

Yeah, but it has to be a person that you are familiar with, and the only person that would apply for this exercise is our trainer. It wouldn't work all that well when we are trying to do some scouting and finding people we are unfamiliar with.

Though if any other scout has the art we could set up times to have phone calls (both sides scry on each other, can hear what the other person is saying)

Hmmm... Actually. @yrsillar, given that we basically know we're going to have CDE, SCS, and TRF mastered this month, could it be beneficial to have the domain slotting vote in advance to allow you to better integrate the insights into the narrative? The training nission for example seems like the kind of thing that would have good opportunities for that...

That's not a bad idea actually. I had considered just holding off on the insight part of the mastery because as you said I wanted to avoid the individual votes, but that can work too, it gives me more time to work on it.

[X] Curious Diviner's Eye

I'm sold. A constant passive buff to perception that lets us mark areas for later viewing sounds like a great pick before going out to explore new areas.

It is actually sort of interesting that cultivators are always in conflict. Their basic needs are already met. They will never be hungry or thirty. Their endurance means that they have very limited need for shelter. In fact the only thing that they seem to be fighting for is cultivation resources so that they can become better at fighting.
