Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

I'm fine with either option that continues the current quest. We've come too far just to throw it all away in a reboot.

If a reboot happens, I'm all for going for the Darkest Timeline option, because it's obvious that Ana failed and died here.

@Crystalwatcher, please don't go down the path of rebooting this. I completely understand why you feel the need to rework things, but as far as I'm concerned, CWMGQ is an example of a living art. As things progressed, as things got more attention, as you learned and developed the quest more, things changed. Hell, things will continue to change. What you just brought up is the perfect example of that. You want to change things for entirely valid and justifiable reasons. You made some errors and want to do better.

But the problem here is that things are too well along to justify a complete reboot. A writer who rewrites everything will never finish anything as their energy is all going into making changes to make things 'better'. I will take a decent completed fic or quest over a fantastic piece of work with only a few updates every single time.

But because of the nature of quests, it is very easy to make changes during the course of it. To wit, you can't change the past, but the future is not yet written. By all means, make changes, make improvements, but please don't throw away the majority of what you have written here. Therefore, here is my write-in, which I feel is fairly self-explanatory after what I have written above.

[X] Reboot the mechanics system, but leave events that have already occurred as is, doing some low-key retcons to resolve the worst of the inconsistencies.

[x] Fuck all that, keep going as is!

if this is an option....

First choice.

Second choice would be for the reboot to be super compressed when going over things. Kill La Kill recap-compressed.
Article:
Nepgear and Co listen to Gabriel explain Skyball. It doesn't sound too interesting to the rest of the team.
----

Gabriel raises her sword and blocks Sixth Heaven's attack! The armored plate she stands on starts to crumble under the force, but Solid Core's angel stays strong.

Short so you can zip through them even on a phone.

Yet another vote in favor of this. Mostly because I think that this would be one of the most efficient ways of doing this.

We're not going to give up when we're this close to the end! Though a reboot after this is finished you be awesome. Heck we could go for the Fresh Meat Eternal Darkness settings for even more suffering.

[x] Fuck all that, keep going as is!

To quote a famous saying.

"There is a point where we needed to stop and we have clearly passed it but let's keep going and see what happens."

Yeah, generally when I see someone try to do a reboot of a quest or a fic, it tends to sputter out very quickly because all of the previous work's inertia has been ripped away.

[X] Just revisions please! The quest needs work but I don't want to go through that trauma again.
I never seem a quest which actually survived a reboot.

If the issues aren't fucking your workflow, that is. Otherwise, revise mechanics, do some retcons, whatever, just don't actually reboot.

I have no interest in a retread, and you have no time for it.

I really don't see a full reboot working out for the best here. Seems like a good way to kill the quest proper.
