[X] She flew back home to the Argent Vent, with its solid foundation building qi

Oddly enough, I'm picking this because I have the opposite reasoning for what the "boring" choice is than I've seen people mention. Barring any Bloody Moon influence, which we wouldn't want, what do we expect to result from just replenishing a Moon spirit with Moon Qi? Not much beyond what Sixiang's already setup. The Standing Stones is the boring default option to me, nothing new or interesting about it elemental interaction-wise, only our association with the Bloody Moon event. Meanwhile, one of the main reasons Sixiang started building their domain in the first place was because they're becoming uncomfortable with their transient nature as a Moon spirit, so I'm curious to see what they do with the more solid foundational Qi provided by the Argent Vent. Change is still an integral part of the Moon too after all.
Yeah, going to be honest, this is the first step of Six as something other than a dream. Doubling down on the same stuff they're already made of doesn't seem like the best choice necessarily?

They've straight up said the Argent Vent was 'good stuff'. More importantly, it's known to have the effect of making people "More themselves".

Like, even if we assume that the Bloody Moon doesn't fool around (Like they did in the trial, muzzling Six when they let Shen Hu have his buddies), it's still... Feeling like it's wasting the opportunity I"d almost say? Half the point Six is going through this evolution in the first place is because they're trying to understand the world better, it feels like a step backward to go "But you should be more fey".

Argent Qi is a great supplement to most people, sort of by design. And for a 'First step', having a good foundation is never a wrong choice.
'Moon Qi is about change so Moong Qi won't help Sixiang Change' is not an argument I think really has ground to stand on.

Moon is not just bloody moon, and moon isn't super limited and 'needing something new for Sixiang to go anywhere'. Moon is by itself mutable and will help Sixiang... and if you think Moon alone is not enough, Silent Stones also has Earth and Sun.

Also, Moon spirit =!= Transient. It's 'specific subset of dreaming spirit = transient'. Su Ling's Justice Bat is not transient, and neither is Xin, and so on.

I do agree that Silent Stone is the 'Sixiang Choice', while Zeqing is 'Power Choice', and Argent Vent is 'Breadth Choice'. I just also believe that Sixiang is not bad, and having her focus on her own abilities is better than trying to have huge foundations or try to focus on power.

The safe, boring choice in this case... doesn't look boring to me.

"...Junior Brother Rong, to make an enemy of the archivists so early in the year. You truly do excel," she heard the second of the pairs voice at first, and it conjured to her the image of a rather pompous fellow.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, this is all the books right?" The living lightning snapped testily. Ji Rong was as taciturn as ever she supposed, but it looked like he had made a new friend? That was something to make a note of.

"Just the one more," the other voice replied lightly, and Ling Qi heard the sound of leather striking flesh. He had presumably tossed Ji Rong another book.

"...Fu Fan's Guide to Administration for the Simple… are you making fun of me you windbag?" She could practically here the twitch of Ji Rong's eye.

"Hmph, Hmph, to show so little respect for your kind senior, Junior Brother Rong, where did I go wrong in raising you?" The stranger laughed. "Off to the reading room you, this Senior Brother has his own tasks to attend to."

Ling Qi caught sight of the second speaker then, moving swiftly between the aisles in front of the reading area she occupied. His mustache was rather ridiculous looking, but he seemed pretty unassuming otherwise. That set her on edge a bit, she couldn't clearly read his aura. He was also gone as fast as he appeared, not even glancing her way.

Gotta comment on this. While this meeting may just be mere coincidence and them meeting in the archives was already a decent chance, I can't help but think that Zhiqiang, aka the guy whose wind spirit is a gossip monger, set this meeting up. He did mention in the omake that he wanted Ji Rong to talk to Ling Qi.

Meh. I vote for this because it is foundational. And if Sixiang is building something of a structure with the Argent Mirror as its focal point (the pool), then balanced qi will hopefully make a solid structure.

In asumptions though, I asume the Argent Vent will help something like Scrying (far sight) while the moon qi more like Visions (prediction or similar) or something. Maybe Zeqing will help in making the Argent Mirror's ability to see truth better? (Discerning Gaze or something similar).

Anyway, second choice would be Zeqing's site since it is the strongest qi locus Ling Qi knows of.

Solid and foundation are focus words that I like to hear for Six's dream construction project. Especially as she seems particularly ephemeral at the moment.
Beyond that, I like the 'you, but more' aspect of argent qi for the first steps here.

While I do think the concerns regarding what result Sixiang will get from each location have some merit, I am changing my vote.

Of particular relevance to me is the fact that Sixiang has already communicated appreciation for the qi emanating from the site. Additionally, I do believe that our home is going to be closer to the Library then either the Silent Stones or Zeqing's home. In a situation where seconds may make a large difference, going to the location that is closer seems more in line with the goal of getting Sixiang to a focal point of qi as quickly as possible.

OK, if distance matters, it's a big deal. I think it would have been mentioned if it did matter, but I guess asking is the best bet.

@yrsillar, does distance to the site matters at all in this instance?

I mean, it's clear that we are on a time limit to get Sixiang to a potent qi site, otherwise she would have just waited until we began our normal cultivation. Which means that the longer we take to get to a site, the more time Sixiang has to wait to start healing. Presumably, there could be side effects from that.

Now, meta-wise, I don't think the distance matters all that much. I don't think there is a trap option where Sixiang fades away before we reach a site. That would probably be sensed and communicated. However, Ling Qi, at this moment, will probably go to the closest site that matches what Sixiang has requested.

I think that if distance mattered to Ling Qi, it would be in the vote. The vote is always what Ling Qi says of the action, after all. So if you are thinking "In Character reasoning", I would say it doesn't have anything to do with it.

However, I am still asking Yrsillar in case I am wrong.

I don't think it's a given that we're on a time limit. Being in this state might just be incredibly uncomfortable for Sixiang and she'd really prefer to recover sooner rather than later.

I was hoping there would be interaction between Ling Qi and Zhiqiang, but getting some more Unlimited Burn Works was nice.

[X] She flew to the Silent Stones, though she disliked the implications, it was the only moon site she knew

Overcoming her own hangups for the sake of others.
Sixiang is a Moon spirit. The stones are a source of moon qi.

What is more important, Ling's discomfort or Sixiang's well being, this is the question here.

And I want Ling Qi to take care of Sixiang.

Sixiang is already a moon spirit. Adding more moon to it won't change anything, hence it's the boring option.

It's like drinks, add rum to a glass of rum and you still have the same boring rum. Add some fruit juices to it and you get a much more interesting rum punch.

[x] She flew to the Silent Stones, though she disliked the implications, it was the only moon site she knew

I see no reason to believe that the site is somehow intrinsically associated with the Bloody Moon. It gives bonuses to Star and Sun, in addition to Moon, so it's pretty obviously an all-rounder classic heavenly elements site. We've got personal history with the valley overall, but the nature of the qi shouldn't be biased in an objectionable fashion.

People are also putting way too much stock in a throw away line where Sixiang approved of a qi locus during a time where it was the sole site we had access to. Qi is nourishing. Like, if someone moved into a new home and they commented on the lovely view it has, would you assume that it's their favourite view? Probably not, because a generic statement of approval of one thing does not confer any indication of their hierarchy-of-approving-of-things.

The simple fact that we have these three options means that Ling Qi could consider any of them as suitable. Literally the only thing Sixiang's comment tells us is that the Argent Vent is not likely fundamentally unsuitable, which was already obvious from the framing of the vote. It doesn't tell us anything new or actionable.

This argument is inane. Fundamentally, what this argument is saying is that extrinsic evidence that might affect our decision shouldn't affect our decision because it just means that the site is suitable. I can do that too.

Since Sixiang is a moon spirit, that makes the Silent Stones not likely fundamentally unsuitable, since it gives moon qi, which was already obvious from the framing of the vote. The fact that Sixiang is a moon spirit doesn't tell us anything new or actionable.

What Sixiang comment tells us, is that she enjoys being in the presence of the Argent Vent. That is a completely different topic than suitability. All the sites are suitable, so which site is better. The one that she enjoys being around, or the site that gives her moon qi but also reminds her of a time that she blames herself for a failing us.

*sigh* i really wish we had some information on votes than what we currently are having.
Most of what we have to decide is either name drops in the vote text or borderline wishful thinking...
