[X] She flew back home to the Argent Vent, with its solid foundation building qi
Oddly enough, I'm picking this because I have the opposite reasoning for what the "boring" choice is than I've seen people mention. Barring any Bloody Moon influence, which we wouldn't want, what do we expect to result from just replenishing a Moon spirit with Moon Qi? Not much beyond what Sixiang's already setup. The Standing Stones is the boring default option to me, nothing new or interesting about it elemental interaction-wise, only our association with the Bloody Moon event. Meanwhile, one of the main reasons Sixiang started building their domain in the first place was because they're becoming uncomfortable with their transient nature as a Moon spirit, so I'm curious to see what they do with the more solid foundational Qi provided by the Argent Vent. Change is still an integral part of the Moon too after all.
'Moon Qi is about change so Moong Qi won't help Sixiang Change' is not an argument I think really has ground to stand on.Yeah, going to be honest, this is the first step of Six as something other than a dream. Doubling down on the same stuff they're already made of doesn't seem like the best choice necessarily?
They've straight up said the Argent Vent was 'good stuff'. More importantly, it's known to have the effect of making people "More themselves".
Like, even if we assume that the Bloody Moon doesn't fool around (Like they did in the trial, muzzling Six when they let Shen Hu have his buddies), it's still... Feeling like it's wasting the opportunity I"d almost say? Half the point Six is going through this evolution in the first place is because they're trying to understand the world better, it feels like a step backward to go "But you should be more fey".
Argent Qi is a great supplement to most people, sort of by design. And for a 'First step', having a good foundation is never a wrong choice.
"...Junior Brother Rong, to make an enemy of the archivists so early in the year. You truly do excel," she heard the second of the pairs voice at first, and it conjured to her the image of a rather pompous fellow.
"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, this is all the books right?" The living lightning snapped testily. Ji Rong was as taciturn as ever she supposed, but it looked like he had made a new friend? That was something to make a note of.
"Just the one more," the other voice replied lightly, and Ling Qi heard the sound of leather striking flesh. He had presumably tossed Ji Rong another book.
"...Fu Fan's Guide to Administration for the Simple… are you making fun of me you windbag?" She could practically here the twitch of Ji Rong's eye.
"Hmph, Hmph, to show so little respect for your kind senior, Junior Brother Rong, where did I go wrong in raising you?" The stranger laughed. "Off to the reading room you, this Senior Brother has his own tasks to attend to."
Ling Qi caught sight of the second speaker then, moving swiftly between the aisles in front of the reading area she occupied. His mustache was rather ridiculous looking, but he seemed pretty unassuming otherwise. That set her on edge a bit, she couldn't clearly read his aura. He was also gone as fast as he appeared, not even glancing her way.
OK, if distance matters, it's a big deal. I think it would have been mentioned if it did matter, but I guess asking is the best bet.Of particular relevance to me is the fact that Sixiang has already communicated appreciation for the qi emanating from the site. Additionally, I do believe that our home is going to be closer to the Library then either the Silent Stones or Zeqing's home. In a situation where seconds may make a large difference, going to the location that is closer seems more in line with the goal of getting Sixiang to a focal point of qi as quickly as possible.
I mean, it's clear that we are on a time limit to get Sixiang to a potent qi site, otherwise she would have just waited until we began our normal cultivation. Which means that the longer we take to get to a site, the more time Sixiang has to wait to start healing. Presumably, there could be side effects from that.OK, if distance matters, it's a big deal. I think that if distance mattered to Ling Qi, it would be in the vote. The vote is always what Ling Qi says of the action, after all. So if you are thinking "In Character reasoning", I would say it doesn't have anything to do with it.I mean, it's clear that we are on a time limit to get Sixiang to a potent qi site, otherwise she would have just waited until we began our normal cultivation. Which means that the longer we take to get to a site, the more time Sixiang has to wait to start healing. Presumably, there could be side effects from that.
Now, meta-wise, I don't think the distance matters all that much. I don't think there is a trap option where Sixiang fades away before we reach a site. That would probably be sensed and communicated. However, Ling Qi, at this moment, will probably go to the closest site that matches what Sixiang has requested.
I don't think it's a given that we're on a time limit. Being in this state might just be incredibly uncomfortable for Sixiang and she'd really prefer to recover sooner rather than later.I mean, it's clear that we are on a time limit to get Sixiang to a potent qi site, otherwise she would have just waited until we began our normal cultivation. That doesn't mesh with the alarm that Ling Qi is feeling.I don't think it's a given that we're on a time limit. Being in this state might just be incredibly uncomfortable for Sixiang and she'd really prefer to recover sooner rather than later.
What in the world had they done? Ling Qi thought with alarm, picking up her pace.

distance doesn't matter, no
none of them are far enough away for it to be an issue
Alright, then it looks like the infrences and assumptions I made were wrong.
Sixiang is already a moon spirit. Adding more moon to it won't change anything, hence it's the boring option.'Moon Qi is about change so Moong Qi won't help Sixiang Change' is not an argument I think really has ground to stand on.
Moon is not just bloody moon, and moon isn't super limited and 'needing something new for Sixiang to go anywhere'. Moon is by itself mutable and will help Sixiang... and if you think Moon alone is not enough, Silent Stones also has Earth and Sun.
Also, Moon spirit =!= Transient. It's 'specific subset of dreaming spirit = transient'. Su Ling's Justice Bat is not transient, and neither is Xin, and so on.
I do agree that Silent Stone is the 'Sixiang Choice', while Zeqing is 'Power Choice', and Argent Vent is 'Breadth Choice'. I just also believe that Sixiang is not bad, and having her focus on her own abilities is better than trying to have huge foundations or try to focus on power.
The safe, boring choice in this case... doesn't look boring to me.
This argument is inane. Fundamentally, what this argument is saying is that extrinsic evidence that might affect our decision shouldn't affect our decision because it just means that the site is suitable. I can do that too.The simple fact that we have these three options means that Ling Qi could consider any of them as suitable. Literally the only thing Sixiang's comment tells us is that the Argent Vent is not likely fundamentally unsuitable, which was already obvious from the framing of the vote. It doesn't tell us anything new or actionable.
