[X] Verge: The Merciful Gryzmon with a difficult choice to make.

Can we please stick with the MC for a climactic event?

[X] Beat: The Stingmon fighting a Legendary Warrior for vengeance.

I very much want to see how this fight plays out.

Seeing this.... we are really going to need to try and make sure that Pit and our other allies don't delete Luna or Thresh when we find them again.

Also we are very lucky that Verge didn't get his face melted with Wrath data way back when, cause I'm pretty that would have gotten out of hand in very short order.

I know Verge likley still going to be out of it... but I want to join up with our bros so badly!

Much as I would like to know what goes down with Beat, we will likely find out the result soon anyways.

Well that's quite nasty. Three ultimates and a Growlmon and Pit's been frozen. Pretty much all of the mooks in that tunnel are doomed. Also, Pit once again explicitly stating his desire to massacre everyone and take no prisoners; he really is one vicious son of a bitch. I dunno what he's going to evolve into, but I doubt it's HolyAngemon with cruelty like that.

Crap. Right when we've sent of one group of boys, there comes another we have to work with.

On another note, we haven't just happened to bump into Thresh AND Gnaw have we? That would be... less than amazing for many reasons.

Nah, the WereGarurumon is feral, and Thresh is the black variant, not the red one.

7th Of Water: Beat Versus Blitzmon:

===

Beat's shell cracked under the stain of Blitzmon's tackle, his back scraping across the passageway's stone floor as together they skip out into the open air. The Legendary warrior's forearm presses down against his throat driving the back of his head through the ground.

Strong. Cannot engage in grapple.

The Stingmon bends his legs, brings them up against the android's belly and kicks, launching the bulkier digimon off. He twists, pushing off the ground with one hand, and thrusting himself into the air where his wings would take care of stabilizing his position.

By the time he's righted himself, the murderer is loosely standing a dozen feet back. Beat feels his anger rise at champion's outright mocking stance.

I will not play his game.

"Oh mon your anger is fun. Koko, it reminds me-" He's interrupted as Beat launches himself forward, and slams his knee forward, right into Blitzmon's face. The Stingmon can feel his limb body crack from the impact, but it had managed to send Blitzmon sliding back and cause a small chink of damage.

Blitzmon is still stronger, tougher. That is not a gap I can overcome. But I am faster... It will have to do. I will persevere, he will fall here. My pride, vengeance demands nothing less.

The metallic insect digimon, recovers with a grunt and steps forward to meet him once more, his right first rising in coordination with a yell.

"Gigaton Upper"

Sloppy.

Beat darts forward halfway into the strike and and rotates his entire body, letting the blow glance his side. The momentum only gives power to his, lending him new terrible strength as he drags the claws of his left hand across the Android digimon's mouth.

Blitzmon let's out a cry of surprise, backing up in panic as the natural weapon scories the surface just below his eyes. The Stingmon can feel every moment of his fingers being filed down by the contact, but he presses on through the pain and completes his spin, smashing the back of his right heel against the Legendary Warrior's chin.

*Crack*

There would no better time to settle things than this. He was already reaching his limits as a champion. If he didn't end things today, the gap between them would widen again. And he'd never be able to catch up.

Even it means breaking my body, I will delete Blitzmon here.

His opponent powers through the second hit, stepping forward once and converting the end of his uppercut into a shoulder tackle. However it was too obvious, too telegraphed, the android was still growing used to his body. Beat sways back, slamming his left foot into the earth and clenching his right hand forming a fist.

Spiking finish.

He spots the damaged armor of Blitzmon's left side. Where Verge's drill had left it's mark. If he struck there, then he could end things now. But... Instead he champion drives his right arm's spike into the large insect's face. The appendage shatters, but leaves a mark on the battered facial armor.

*Crack*

I don't want anyone's help. Not here, not now. I refuse to accept that weakness!

"Thor's Hammer!"

An arc of electricity bursts free from the Legendary Warrior's hand and smacks into Beat. His chitin repulses the shock, but nonetheless blackens under its heat, and he's sent tumbling back though the air.

"It is you! Beat! I'm so glad to see you again!" He chuffles, with a thundering clap. "You've grown so much since we last met! It's so great! Kokokokoko!" Beat rights himself with a stomp and glares at the taller champion. "Fulfill your promise friend. Give me that, power! Come and help me grow stronger! Megaton Drop!"

He could see the sparks of power that denominated the Legendary Warrior's increase in speed, for a short time Blitzmon would accelerate far beyond his normal pace. But it had a flaw, the clash between him and Pit had shown that. His reaction speed did not increase in tune with the rest of his body.

There.

His *friend* flies forward foot first, in what he expected to be a deadly attack. It would be easy to avoid it now. Only, instead of dodging, the Stingmon leaps up forward meet the blow head on.

It's only at the very least nanosecond as the electrically charged metal comes into full view that he tilts his body. A line opens up across his torso, where hard green and black chitin is shaved away, but it leaves him the needed opportunity. The spike on his left arm collides with Blitzmon's left mouthguard.

*Crack*

Once again the appendage shatters simply not strong enough to contend with the android's metal frame. But the damage dealt had been worth it, weakening the armor a final crucial time.

Soon.

It was weakened now, his path to the robotic digimon's death had been opened. Not that the Legendary Warrior noticed this. The infuriating individual was too busy laughing.

"Kokoko! Most impressive Beat! You've shown me the weakness of that strategy!" His fists move up to stand by either side of his side. "Flit around as much as you want my dear friend." the Legendary Warrior laughs. "I'll swat you out of the air, just like the first time!"

"No."

"Oh, did I touch a nerve my greatest companion? What? Are you going to run to that Drimogemon for help again? Please do, I'd soooo like to introduce him to my fist."

"I will not run." Beat growls. "I will not seek assistance." The stingmon hops forward to stand mere feet away from his hated for and raises up his fists in a mirror image of Blitzmon's own stance.

"...Really? You seek to match me blow for blow?" he chuckles, looking over the shorter and much, much thinner insect digimon. "If you seek to hasten our joining then so be it! Come to me friend!"

He steps forward, pulling back his right arm as sparks of electricity ripple about his form.

"Megaton-" Beat steps forward, mirroring the gesture. "Punch!" Blitzmon arms were longer, his armor thicker and his weight greater. The elemental warrior of thunder held that there was no way he could possibly lose this bout. His fist traveled through the air, on course towards the Stingmon's head. Even a single blow would guarantee his victory here.

I have two advantages.

Which is why, when the Stingmon's fist slammed straight into his mouth that the Legendary warrior was left dumbstruck. He should have hit the other champion, why had his hand only struck empty air? The android digimon growls, lashing out with a left straight-

*Crack*

Speed.

Right uppercu-

*Crack*

Skill.

Left hoo-

*Crack*

Which is why.

Mach Ja-

*Crack*

He will fall.

*Snap*

The larger insect digimon reels back from the blow to his facemask, the battered metal there cracking wholly in two. The fragile internal data inside his head was finally exposed.

"No! This can't… I won't…" The now vulnerable Legendary Warrior howls. "I've figured out your trick!" Arcs of electricity erupts along his form, coating the android digimon in energy. Megaton!"

Beat steps forward one last time, a new spike erupting from his left forearm.

It is over.

"Punch!"

"Wow! You're so strong and fast Beat!"

"And you're still weak. He almost deleted you."

"Well yeah but... You're my friend right? Floramon said the you'd both always help me!"

"Do not depend on others. Personal strength is what matters KoKabuterimon."

"Really? Then... I'm going to be stronger than you Wormmon! You'll see!"

"Hn."

Also I want point out how yet again how BS the Warriors are. Thunderprick is still technically fresh since he was frozen not to long after his evo while injured and Beat is a trained Stingmon who is experienced both in skill and form. And this Thunderprick still put up such a dangerous fight!

Legend-Freaking-ary Warriors indeed.

... I kind of want to see how all the Legendary Warriors encountered thus far stack up each other.

Also assuming Beat manages to finish this guy a full 1/5th of em will have been killed in quest!

Impressive work, beat.

If you defeat and load him you might even reach Ultimate right now, considering that from the sound of things you're currently pushing your hard caps.

Verge left a wound that didn't heal? That is ominous.

Or the Gloaming just has really shitty healers.

Remember almost all healers are Host. The Gloaming heals by loading those they kill. Also Verge is some messed up data, think his drill might contain the Virus contamination.

Also one thing Beat has as a good advantage: He had practice fighting Verge in Gryzmon form. He knows how not to fight a tougher, stronger and bigger opponent.

As we learned under MasterTyrannomon, most naturally strong and tough digimon tend to overcommit their moves and just trusts that their defense can take it. A fast opponent with high penetration like a Stingmon(or a LadyDevimon) can overcome it.

It's also important to remember than in Gryzomon form Verge is actually fast, it's one thing to be prepped for your average mighty glacier, it's another to be prepared for a big guy that can keep up with you.
