[X] Yes. You'll head out with him to Phelesmon's fortress to fight. Spreading your name like Flam-Agnimon would have is important if you wish to fulfill his dream. What's more, this Legendary Warrior could be a worthy opponent. You've yet to have a proper challenging match since you evolved to Gryzmon. This could be your chance for an honorable, fight against a peer while supporting the rest of your squad.

-[X] Explain why you're going to Grip. You let Warren come to his own conclusions before, perhaps it would be better to see what Grip thinks and correct any misconceptions.
[X] No. Grip is still grieving from the loss of his brothers and Lady Ardat No is still in a sensitive state. Leaving them to go on a mission is... not something you want. Plus, it'll allow you to keep training at the gym and keep studying slide evolution under Frigimon.

With the decision to join HolyAngemon on the mission made, you hurriedly move around the town to say the required goodbyes. Ardat is too caught between sleeping and drowsily studying her manual to do more than a tired, barely conscious goodbye.
Frigimon wishes you well and tells you to be safe, while Grip just breaks out into tears once more as you say goodbye. Watching the caretaker take the bawling rookie inside her mansion to sleep stirs intense feelings of guilt, but you fight through it. You can't afford to be affected by such things in the battle ahead.
Once Sparks hears about what's happening, he wastes no time in ahem *volunteering* himself to come along. And by that, the Wizardmon leaps up onto your shoulder and says in no uncertain terms that he is going with you. Naturally, you decide to err on the side of self preservation and don't try to overrule him. Plus thanks to your new size, carrying the five foot mon is a completely effortless task.
Pidmon after being informed of the future even does... his usual thing:
"Come my stalwart comrades! The Accursed Gloaming Scum yet await destruction! Let us go and deliver The Lord's Wrath upon them. Deus Vult!"
Which once again creates that same odd scent.
The only truly surprising thing that happens before the journey is Beat approaching you with his fists clenched tight enough to shake. You examine the champion with a discerning eye, noticing the normally stoic mon's visible anger.
"Beat. Do you require something?"
"Blitzmon will be there." The insect digimon states coldly. You blink at statement before tilting your head in curiosity.
"I see. Then-
"Do not assist me against him." The Stingmon cuts in, glaring up at you for some odd reason. "I will delete Blitzmon alone."
His sudden plea for facing the Legendary Warrior on his lonesome catches you off guard. It goes against the previous promise you'd made of assisting him in his battle, the one he'd agreed to but… you think you can understand his intentions. While it's not an exact match you despise certain mon and desirevengeance against them personally. If Beat thinks your help might mean losing his chance to slay the one whom wrong him then-

[] You'll decline his wishes. Blitzmon is a threat and even if it rankles your sense of right and wrong, teaming up against the insect digimon is needed to take the champion down. When you last met Blitzmon he was overpowering, even if he's spent the last months as a statue, he could still be a powerful foe.

The Holy Throne takes Ardat's role in carrying you across the vast distance between Electown and Phelesmon's fortress, a necessity given how none of his soldiers have the strength needed to lift your hulking weight. Which is an experience neither of you particularly enjoy, even if it is a necessity. Thankfully at the very least, you manage to catch a good seven hour and fifty-eight minute nap during the flight, meaning all personal interaction between you and the ultimate is kept to a bare minimum. You find yourself missing Ardat's presence, but can understand why she's not there given the Thrones conversation with SlashAngemon.
Spirits above, I hope we shall not require her power for this conflict.
HolyAngemon drops you and the rest of your squad off at the ruined remnants of what had been a series of fortifications early next morning. Now the series of destroyed walls and cleared forestry serve as a temporary camp to besieging Host forces. This one is immensely more organized and less tattered than the last, arrayed around the area tidily with the tents neatly repaired instead of tattered, half-wrecks. Phelesmon's *fortress* is extremely reminiscent to that supply base Sergeant Scratch had destroyed, if on a much larger scale. Carved into the carcass of a small mountain, with clear signs of what would eventually be some sort of grand structure going by the many walls and buildings still in partially constructed states. Fortunately, SlashAngemon's army had put a stop to all that, preventing the many, many external defenses from being completed.
The Ultimate flies off into the sky to converse with an Angewomon, leaving your group to be approached by a rather familiar pair of digimon.
"Well shit, it's bloody nice to see some old faces here." Darcmon announces, her face twisted into a genuine grin. "I heard on the radio that you'd be coming, but it's still a damned good sight." Beside her, Maildramon lets out a snort, and stares at you with a hint of challenge. However you ignore the low growl that follows from his throat. The feral digimon is no true threat to you right now, even if he wasn't an ally the armored Dramon wouldn't be able to harm you.
"Heh, nice to see thine pleasent form as well." Sparks calls out from your shoulder,
"Salutations Imperius Darcmon!" Pit cries, throwing a salute. "Quick! Where are the last of our cowardly foes hiding? We must wipe them from this world and get to their nefarious lord!"
"Hn." Beat grunts in agreement, popping out his spikes for emphasis.
"Hiding? The fuck are you-Ha!" The champion doubles over laughing, though it has a noticeably bitter tone. "Old stick up the rear didn't brief you did he? We're getting our fricken asses kicked out here Pidmon."
The Host is losing? That is troubling. The cause must be...
"What? How?!" Pit shouts indignantly, waving his rod into the air.
"After most of his heavy hitters were down, the Lord shithead off in yonder fortress hired some sort of super mercenary to guard his bloody door. Nothing a few Ultimates couldn't handle, but some idiot called them back south leaving the rest of us to get reamed by mister light swords."
"Light... swords?" You ponder out loud. "But if they aren't heavy, then shouldn't-"
"Cute? Umm..." You look down at your war-claws, wondering just what aspect of your form could fit into that category. Sparks begins to chuckle for some reason, but you're utterly lost on why.
"Oh for the love of-"
"Sir! Or ah, Ma'am." Pit cuts in, thankfully changing the conversation away from your features. "Where is the mon we must defeat! Rest assured this *mister light swords* will not go on undefeated! The Lord's will, ah, will triumph!"
The feminine champion glares sharply at your ally before throwing up her hands in disgust.
"Fuck it! I've had enough of this! Just... just go left following the mountains." She grumbles. "You'll see for yourself. Maybe if I'm lucky he'll kick all of you-" Darcmon coughs suddenly, cutting off whatever it was she was about to say.
"Right!" The smaller than average Pidmon cries. "My thanks comrade Darcmon!"
With that your party heads off, going towards battle. Over the next minute of walking, you notice a rather odd trend. Most of the digimon occupying the area are wounded. The dozens of champions laying about are missing arms, legs, wings and in some unfortunate cases about half their body. Others seem to just be full of oddly circular, cauterized holes, like something had repeatedly shoved hot cylinders through their bodies. Even the Blessed Host's widely available healing is hard pressed to deal with so many crippling and brutal injuries, though strangely enough the wounds aren't lethal in nature.
What could have caused such damage? This Legendary warrior can't be Blitzmon, he would not have been this careful. And these injuries... this opponent must have powerful abilities.
Sparks keeps quiet on your shoulder, his staff trained outwards ahead. Pidmon meanwhile does his best to encourage the lamed champions, though you notice he doesn't waste his energy trying to heal them. Beat is oddly
A short while later, you round the small mountain and come across a small horde of holy aligned digimon charging towards a long square opening leading right into the fortress's deepest depths. There are the standard angelic troops such as Pidmon, Darcmon, Tailmon and even a few Angemon, but also several other species you don't recognize. A humanoid vaguely feline digimon wielding a short sword leads the charge, backed up by a small, flying bestial digimon that is clearly holy going by it's white and golden coloring.
Roughly one quarter of a nano-second later you witness the cause of your other comrade's injuries as a lone figure darts into the press of bodies.
The Legendary Warrior deftly maneuvers his longer blade around the Leomon's weapon, using his extended reach and far greater speed to time disarming the foe with the simultaneous impact of his tackle. Eager excitement bursts free from of your digicore as the humanoid weaves a path of beautiful destruction through his attackers.
No movement is wasted, no action this warrior takes is without purpose. He strides into the mass without a shred of doubt, laying crippling wounds his wake. An Angemon's overhead strike is redirect with almost contemptuous ease, a flick of one blade sending the blow right into an unfortunate Tailmon. Before the holy digimon can even realize what's happened the sole defender's other sword sweeps out in a semi-circle, slicing half of his wings and a quarter of his torso free. The bestial mon charges at his side, horn first, but the Legendary Warrior leans clear of the blow, to let it slam into a plunging Darcmon.
You recognize what's happening as Woflmon lets a half-dozen strikes reach his body and harmlessly bounce off his armor. He's fighting while conserving his energy, using the very least amount of effort possible with each strike. And all the while making the enemy defeat themselves at that.
It's clear he's capable of so much more then this, the pace he's setting while dealing with the attackers seems more lazy than anything else. Yet despite all that, the *mercenary* isn't deleting his opponents. No, the mercy he's showing by only dealing crippling injuries shows an insane amount of skill. The half-dozen stabs he levels on one Pidmon would have been lethal if even one had scraped his core, but the low-ranking angel falls back wholly incapacitated, yet undeniably alive. The display is breathtaking, beautiful and strikes a chord of envy deep within you.
I want to fight him.
A small portion of the attacking force, manages to squeeze past the melee, going deeper into the passage but through the screams of battle and sizzling of flesh being burnt you hear the sound of half dozen much quieter attacks. It's impossible to miss the trickles of data that waft free from the tunnel.
More enemies inside, using the narrow passage to concentrate attacks and delete anything that gets past him.
"Spirits above!"
"Lord In Heaven!"

[] Go up and challenge this Legendary Warrior to one on one combat. The potential for an honorable duel aside, it should also open up the rest of the Host to trying to break through the blockade. This could be your chance to earn renown.
[] Attempt to make a coordinated push with your squad. Using Frame Reinforce should allow you to withstand the concentrated fire being poured out from the tunnel. With your body acting as his shield, Sparks will return fire, to hopefully defeat the defenders and minimize loss of life.

So long as Beat's willing to accept a save from deletion, I say let him have this chance. It looks like Bug Boy is still on the rocks, so Beat has had plenty of time to juice up.

Ahahahahaha-no. We are not trying to solo one of the Big Two of the Legendary Warriors, who has had Yggy knows how much time to bulk up, load enemies, and train. The fact that he's not even loading any of his enemies says that he either doesn't need their data, or it won't do anything for him. Either instance means that he's probably far past recently evolved.
We don't stand a chance of winning, but this will be good for us in many ways. The warrior will probably respect our desire for a 1v1 fight.

As an aside I think we've just got our first instance of purple text not directly related to Ardat... I do not like this.
Also hurrah the anger has returned, lets hope it sticks to one or two letters at a time though cause if we full a full sentence in red any time soon it's probably not going to be a good sign.

Pretty sure Wolfmon is stronger than us, considering what Drexal said about Agnimon's stats, also the line about earning renown rubs me the wrong way, because I don't think earning glory is what Verge's character is about.
Fuck it! We signed up to earn glory and renown for our fallen Bro's dream.

That's what I mean its the same color right next to the red text.. the power color even shows up later and contrasts.
Anyweh I'm partial to the avdancewith others options because I feel that against the Legend we are outmatched enough to not do much, and caus I want to get into melee with the forts defenders ASAP.

not sure on what to vote on the other one, though I'm leaning more towards the team tactics if anyone makes a good case for it I'll go with that.
Edit: voting for the siegebreaking option, because we need to get in there folks, it'd help draw off pressure as the defenders reallocate to try and cover the rest of the base.

I'm curious as to why Lobo isn't going for any real kills.

Finally, a fight that's interesting.
But she doesn't. She followed Scratch's orders and now that he's gone she's just been listless. She's happy to see Verge whenever he's around, but I wouldn't say she's his follower.
And as stated before, Sparks isn't a follower, he's a yandere. He doesn't give a damn about Verge's desires or opinions these days, and just wants to keep him safe.

She... she's literally a natural leader tho??? As in, she has a super strong charisma that's augmented by subconscious mind control. She followed Scratch because she saw him as a parent. She's just Verge's friend, and in a bad place emotionally right now. She listened to a couple of suggestions from him because she was having a mental breakdown.
Looks like the Beat vote is fairly unanimous, though the fighting Wolfmon vs making the push are tied st 5-5.

Guys, why are we choosing to fight an obviously experienced LW? Y'know, the guys that can punch at the same level as mid-tier Ultimates? What happens if we lose?

He's not killing anyone, we have healers, he seems like the kind of guy who would appreciate the sheer balls of the challenge, and Verge's instincts that aren't derived from any of the foreign influences wants it.
