SCS was supposed to be a stealth art and is if combat stealth is a thing. If combat stealth is not a thing, then no "stealth" art will allow combat stealth.
Combat stealth is a thing, it's been modified from last quest.

Stealth and Perception in combat:
The goal of entering stealth in combat is to gain advantage in combat over your foes. In order to attempt to enter stealth in battle, you must either have access to terrain or environmental features which can cut off, temporarily an enemies line of sight, or an art which allows you to do so regardless. When entering stealth, you initiate a skill challenge vs. all enemies Combat Perception. Targets with perception one or more ranks below your stealth total are considered Unaware. Targets within one rank of, but not above your stealth total are considered Unsure.

The Unready condition is only applicable if a target is totally unaware of your presence(I.E they have not sensed you at all at any point in the scene) Unready targets are also considered Unaware for the purposes of bonuses. Unready targets cannot use Responses against the first attack made against them by the hidden party.

In a combat with multiple enemies, one enemy losing the unaware or unsure condition does not strip you of it against others, although it may result in penalties to stealth, depending on the situation.
The bonus for unaware and unsure are relatively minor but do exist. Additionally, FVM creates terrain that enables stealth.

Stealth is still a huge part of Ling Qi character. She is a thief, and the fact that she still needs to rely entirely on her mortal level stealth is a huge weakness, specially when we consider how common perception arts apparently are, all the more so if we want to go the spy route.

I am a bit confused now. Do you want us to vote for unique sets of three keywords, and then the five or six unique sets of three that get the most votes will be accepted? I'll go change my vote to three options, but I do admit I find that odd and counterintuitive. Would it not be better to separate votes by line so that the keywords that people prefer most rise to the top, regardless of whether they share identical set-of-three-keywords?
I'm pretty sure yrsillar is going to generate arts based on the top 5 or 6 keywords, not on sets or anything like that. He just wants to make people choose their personal top 3 so we don't get one big vote of six options and that deciding everything. Being limited to three votes for a top five or six means that those who favor less popular options stand a chance to see arts for what they want too and can argue their point with some hard data on what we'd get.

I'll believe it when I see it in an update. At this point I'm of the opinion to require extraordinary proof.

She doesn't actually rely entirely on her stealth rating, and her C rank stealth is the peak of Yellow. Also SCS does help stealth in it's passives and in what it does. Unless by stealth you mean stuff like Blur or Invisibility.

I like how baby cousin snek is completely taken aback by the very concept that her super-powered cave hermit cousin has close friends...

Though I think she might be making a slightly wrong assumption about the nature of said friendship... one which Meizhen made herself...

Lol

I can get behind a sociological reason for a limit like that. I just got concerned that the way yrsillar talked about a 'set' dominating the slots suggested the other kind of tallying would be used.

FVM also helps with combat stealth

"Congratulations, you've rediscovered the roots of this whole 'civilization' thing," Sixiang teased.

Things like this make me glad we have Sixiang around. They're always willing to poke fun at Ling Qi.

The conversation with with Mom went pretty well and it's nice to see they're slowly starting to relax around each other.

Lastly the meeting with Bai Meizhen's cousin was fun. She didn't really know how to process Meizhen having an actual friend. I'm looking forward to the awkward tutoring sessions.

[X] Wind
[X] Perceptiveness
[X] Connection

There was talk of wind perception arts and the wind/wood tutor's lesson on connections that was interesting before so I'm going to go with this.

[X] Perceptiveness
[X] Stealth
[X] Moon

Moon and Wind are pretty interchangable, but moon votes increase the chance the art fits our existing paradigm more than wind. Perceptiveness is important because we want to be perceptive, and stealth is half throwaway, half potentially more useful than connections. Basically, improving what we have and branching out towards where we're more deficient.
