Though with that being the case, can a demon lord join the Host? As I could think of no better PR then for a demon lord to flip sides here in the war.

I went and did a quick bit of research. Verge doesn't have a good association with hugging.
Also I just remembered that Drex tends to use asterisks instead of quotes. So *Hug* would actually be "Hug". Implying that it's not a real hug.

Survivors will talk about Ardat's evolution into LadyDevimon. What Sarge did. Verge's gigantism even by Grizlymon standards. Pidmon pseudo evolution into Mephismon only stopped by Angemon's sacrifice
I doubt Angewomon/D'Arcmon is gonna take the group in. And while I can see Beat/Verge/Sparks/Ardat ditching them without much issue well Pidmon being called a demon or under constant suspicion of falling is gonna wreck his mind-space

If all of these are attack options, I'm thinking this is probably the one with the clearest intent and the most wind up, and therefore the one Ardat is most likely to dodge and buy time for Verge to snap out of it.
We know exactly how much Ardat overestimates Verge's understanding of their interactions, from sarcasm to romance, and I can easily see her mistaking the beginning of the other options for Verge "realizing his feelings for her". ("Hug"= actual hug, Bite= bringing his head down for a kiss)
I mean there's still the fear that she mistakes this for a high-five, but I expect better of her and there's only so many options.

Well naturally if the Dominion overlooks her being a Ladydevimon varient.
... Something they might actually consider given that she's pretty darn close with the rest of our squad that includes some freaking beastly champions alongside a fresh champion that's basically an Ultimate.

Given the propaganda that SlashAngemon's version of the Host is propagating, they're unlikely to accept her. If we had the original Holy Trio, I'd honestly say differently.

More then true enough.... which would probably be a good case of this sort of rhetoric biting them in the tale considering it's basically throwing an Ultimate... and potentially a squad composed almost entirely of powerhouse champions away over it.
I was many considering the possibility because of just how bad the Dominions current situation is with the Count still having 3-4 Ultimate in the area, but I suppose it's ultimately (Heh) a matter of who handles this sort of thing and weather or not pragmatism outweighs dogma.
