Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[x] wait and watch what happens.

This is just too weird. I'd rather bank on TinkerTech backfire than a 1v1 fight, though aren't we in perfect Ragnarok positioning? We could in all honesty just go full blast on Ziz here and now. That doesn't sway my desire to have a Ziz who can interact safely with humanity. Because that'd just break rules no matter how it goes down.

Then again, if Ziz downloaded herself, wouldn't she have full access to computer systems at the cost of her current powerset? Afterall, unison device and parahuman shards are by SW's rules not allowed on the same character. I'd hope an endbringer follows the rules.

[X] Wait and watch what happens

My understanding is that Ziz didn't actually move at all from her position, thus not triggering any of Dragon's sub-routines that watch the EB's. With the ability to see the future, Ziz has no reason to physically move to use her TK from planetary distances unless she wants to be caught.

-[ ] Don't Panic

Guess Tim might have to build another mind Zlorper after all.

[x] Wait and watch what happens

Food for thought, at the current time ziz can't telepathically intrude on people with unison devices, but that could possibly change with magitech. On the other hand we've already created 2 devices before and there was no real reason she couldn't have yoinked one of those instead. You also have endbringers being machines enslaved to their programming, so attacking or stopping ziz could have some pretty unfun consequences.

[X] Wait and watch what happens

I have always thought Cassiel was the Simurgh, though I had some doubt when they started talking about the Fallen. But I am still... 70% certain it is the Simurgh. Which makes this part of the plan and quite possibly either a really bad idea or it could possibly be the best idea ever!

Either way, it's gonna be fun!

It is almost as though whomever is manipulating it is playing
whoever

[X] Wait and watch what happens
-[X] Inform the authorities. Call the Chief Director. If we need to fight, she needs to organize it as soon as possible.

In character I assume that this is the first sign of her next attack. Since her attacks often center around making a giant tinkertech device that the heroes have to destroy to "win", from what I recall, I assume that this time it is some form of "sucking people into the machine" thingy.

Out of character… there is only one known telepath on earth bet. Add the angelic name and the meta-knowledge that the Endbringers are involuntarily bound to Eidolon…

[x] Wait and watch what happens

This sounds fun, and the only option other would probably means fighting a endbringer 1 v 1 with no back up and with handicaps

[X] Wait and watch what happens

Fighting an Endbringer 1v1 with lowered defenses? Nah.

Destroying the device is a close second in my mind but that could result in angry Smurf in our faces. Taylor does not know she is immortal and pissing off an Endbringer when you have no backup is not good for your health.

That the only option in many peoples' minds is to stand around like idiots and let Ziz work unimpeded doesn't speak well of the vote options imo.

I'm not really joking though, this sounds like exactly the kind of Simurgh plot that would appear in this quest.
I'm not joking either.

Very little we can reasonably do in our current position and survive, might as well see what happens.

@landcollector Ziz can see the future and uses that ability to dodge attacks. Taylor isn't immune to thinker powers nor is she a blindspot like Eidolon. Why wouldn't Ziz just cause Taylor to miss all attacks aimed at the Unison device?

I would say ATTEMPT to [X] Destroy the Unison Device...
She played them so far (with the device's movement speed), and she is no doubt ready for ANY incoming attack she knows of. But, there is still thing you MUST try to do, even if the chances are slim. Because, "Who will if you won't?"

You need to make your vote on a line devoted to it. Putting it in the middle of a sentence means that the program that counts the votes won't recognize it as a vote.

A thought that has been bubbling away for me is that, according to SW, NO parahuman power operates on mana. This suggests that the Entities have either never encountered a magi-tech wielding race or they saw giving people mana manipulation as being an unacceptable risk. It is possible that the TSAB and Entities use different dimensions when traveling between realities. To wit, M theory posits that there are exactly 10 dimensions plus time within our universe. It is possible that the two forms of travel have both groups using X, Y, and Z, or dimensions one, two, and three, with the Entities also using dimension 4-7 and the TSAB using 8-10.

It's largely irrelevant, I know, but as I've said before, this kind of thought and debate fascinates me.

I don't think we should let her have it. People are freaking out and thinking the Simurgh is the one we are trying to help. I don't. Unless she was working through a proxy she has no way of actually psychically contacting us due to our device. While it may be possible she herself gets sucked in I doubt it.

Which leaves the question of who she wants to suck into it and why.

@Silently Watches is it possible for her to use it on us and trap us inside the device? Or does us already having one via IAE protect us from that.

But exactly how big is Ragnarok? Can she effectively dodge it in an area like space with Zero collateral? We have shoot the most ungodly of blasts at full charge and point and click basically. This is a fresh day and frankly it is almost a freebie to go full blast.

And then Taylor gets caught in an explosion when her defences are set to atmospheric life support rather than combat.

I'm genuinely curious how Taylor is supposed to explain this situation to anyone. Like oh yeah the Simurgh just stole one of our Tinker's devices and we just let her do whatever her plan is instead of destroying it cause we wanted to see what would happen? Sounds like a goddamn Zizbomb. Firing off what is basically a magic nuke into low orbit wouldn't be considered excessive considering this is Ziz.
