Dont want Xiulan to come because I want her to focus on herself and break through quickly. We can catch up with her when she made bronze.


I dont want to confront Xuan Shi so soon after his great uncles gave him an earful for not trying to know LQ better and then having a falling out with her liege, a girl who knew he was attracted to her and used it to bind him closer to her government. There is no need to go for so obvious a key by dangling a growing xuan wu, and therefore likely at least some clan interest, in front of him to get him to reengage in CRX's social circle. Let a guy brood and angst for a while. Once he read enough emo poetry he will be approachable again.

Also I don't think Zhengui really wants or needs anyone but us with him. (And would prefer Xiulan over Xuan Shi)​

TehChron makes an excellent point about the social issues of inviting both along. And I love Gu Xiulan, but damn, she needs to smoke some weed or get laid, not be asked to start more fires.

If we're ever going to meet Zuan Shi's spirit beast we need to hang out with him. I desperately want Zhengui to meet a baseline Xuanwu just to see the level of disconnect.

Xuan Shi doesn't have one. It's a sore point with him.

I have always viewed it from her street days. She mentioned in the first lines of talking with han jian that she used to run scams. It may be looked down on, as it should, but running scams does require you to be social proactive and have a keen eye for social tells.

If Xiulan is on breakthrough hell it might not be a good idea to ask her to use her time in assisting Zhengui to make his breakthrough...
Also, it really feels like we are always asking for help from Xuan Shi, sure, he is dependable(did he ever refuse a request of ours?) but we really need to make a social visit one of these days.

in other news, who is in favour of going crying to Bard bro for some entertaining songs or bard tips? I'm not sure whatever Ling Qi showed at the lunar revelry is appropriate for what Cai has in mind.

Time to see Turtle boy once again reject our advances because frankly we do not know him well enough to connect to his interests, which is annoying.

This seems like a family matter. While xuan shi not doubt could help it may be a very sorry spot for him to help an outsiders spirit beast.

Yeah, she's not unsociable, she's just an outsider here and is only now learning the rules. That, and the competitive nature of cultivator society means it's normal to keep people at a distance until you're certain that their incentives mean they won't harm you.

I don't think this is a math decision (well, more than any other decision is math). The math part is "how to optimally buy drugs with the pile of cash from selling the mirror" - the decision to sell the mirror or not is a decision between potential long-term benefits of turning the mirror into some crazy item down the line, and the short (and following medium-long)term benefits of cultivating faster, thus progressing faster, and having a better shot at whatever life throws at us next.

Not that I mind you abstaining, it gives more power to my own vote, but "math" shouldn't be the reason ;)
