I think we are supposed to be somewhat extraordinarily strong for a kid who has not really received any supernatural training. It's hard to say.
Still, more or less, yeah. I, uh, not fancying our chances to even get to the door, nvm any actual "running away" stuff. This feels, overall, as a pretty hopeless encounter unless Tokei is a total scrub.

Maybe we can jump into a window or something? Work that size difference advantage, exploit the terrain.
 
Yeah, staying unarmed is a pretty shitty idea unless the plan is to just run and then run some more.

Looking for a weapon will take a moment, tho.

[x] If you run, Tokei will take it out on Mother before chasing you. You can't let that happen! He doesn't have his sword on him, you passed it when Gai Sensei put Mr Straw down! Take it and use it to fight Tokei!

Look at our character sheet. Tell me what stats we want to be relying on here.

Physical
Strength: Simple (525/800)
Constitution: Simple (730/800)
Dexterity: Simple (450/800)

Mental
Intelligence: Forgettable (200/400)
Willpower: Simple (410/800)
Wits: Forgettable (190/400)

Social
Appearance: Forgettable (200/400)
Charisma: Forgettable (190/400)
Empathy: Forgettable (300/400)
 
We gotta fight dirty, use the furniture to attack and defend against his strikes, and arm ourself with Tokei's sword. Wait for an opening then strike fast and decisively.

Sword is absolutely best weapon for Tokei, but for Daisuke, a 5 years old boy of normal size and build, it is an oversized dragonslayer sword.

Assuring somehow he doesn't get to use it is a good idea anyway.

"Simple" physicals might actually quite remarkable for a child, depending on how stats work.
 
Um, do we have any notable ninja as our neighbors? Because I don't fancy our chances against this guy after a full day of training. Like, even if we were fresh, I still think he would hand our ass to us. But I also don't think we can run away. It's time to put our money where our mouth was, and protect Mother. We do have one advantage

I say we do something like this:
[] If you run, Tokei will take it out on Mother before chasing you. You can't let that happen! You know some Taijutsu! You'll fight him head on!
-[] Grab his sword first, if only to deny him his main weapon
-[] Charge him, make it look like you're about to stab him, throw the sword at his face to distract him
-[] Unload your taijutsu at his groin, should be about eye level
-[] After that, fight dirty and aggressively, go for the eyes, only stop when he stops moving.
-[] Scream like a maniac to attract attention from the neighbors, maybe someone will come help

I dunno tho, all options seem like bad options.
 
[X] You must protect your mom, everything Gai-sensei has taught you has been for a moment like this. You can't beat Tokei, but you can buy time for surrounding ninja to help. Lure him outside, where there is more space, and try to be loud and boisterous to attract surrounding ninja. Engage in evasive maneuvers.

Yeah, he doesn't have a sword.

He still has a knife.

We haven't even finished our ten thousand strikes or the combat tutorial.
 
[X]You need to draw him away from your mother, so run outside.
-[X]Grab his sword next to the door.
-[X]Instead of running away in the street, stay in the blind spot by the door and ambush him when comes rushing by stabbing him in the leg.
-[X]Let go of the sword and engage him in taijutsu, using his shock and pain to your advantage.

On the bright side, we might be beaten and cut to more dead than alive state and still get through this alright in the end, assuming we are not actually dead - we are in the middle of a major shinobi village, magic healing hands are minutes away.

Well, it might win a moment of surprise, or just force a parry while we attempt something else.

The issue that after that brief moment passes, we are still assaulting an armed man with a knife, while unarmed. It is awfully reliant on that groinshot working and Tokei basically keeling over and doing absolutely nothing as we wail on him.

(yeah it is not a good plan)
 
We need to draw Tokei away from Mother and try to kite him someplace where it's easier to fight. I'm thinking we grab his sword, run through the village hoping someone decides to help, and aim for Training Ground 4. Training Ground 4 was the one that made us nauseous. I have a bad feeling about it because 4 in Japanese and Chinese culture is bad luck and considered a symbol of death.

Please give me some feedback on this:

[X] If you run, Tokei will take it out on Mother before chasing you. You can't let that happen! Get him to chase you!
-[X] Grab Tokei's sword
-[X] Insult Tokei's honor
-[X] Run for the door and knock Mr. Straw into him if he's chasing you
-[X] Scream for help as your run from Tokei because you want him to follow you and he needs to know where you are (and maybe you'll get some help)
-[X] Head for Training Ground 4
