He is far faster than us.
Daisuke has zero experience fighting with a sword, lets not get the sword within Tokei's reach.
Tokei just said that he would not harm Manami if she stayed down, so the best option might be to just run.
A five years old against a grown man is quite a stretch unless there is an ace in the hole. There might be a way to get a powerful boost. We are just 41 strikes away from completing the achievement....
[-] Wait! If you must kill me... let me at least accomplish my goal of hitting Mr Straw a thousand times. Let me live for 50 strikes longer.
-[-] He's a grown ass man, but hopefully the achievement will give you something to use. You should have 9 strikes from the end of the achievement to figure something out.

I disbelieve the assumption that we actually can manage to reach Training Ground 4 before Tokei murders us.
I also do not believe that a man chasing a child in a middle of the city with a knife will fail to attract some attention we so desperately want right now, tho.
I like the Straw bit, but might be better to just generalize "use enviroment" or something.
Are there any windows? Might be better than trying to get through the door. Considering the distance and likely speed of our opponent, we are pretty much fucked if it opens inwards, btw.

Those sword skills everyone says we don't have? Tokei also knows we don't have them either. So when we pick up the sword and try things with him, he's probably not going to take us seriously. That likely means he might let down his guard enough that we could actually stab him, simply because he didn't think it was possible.
Or hell, our mom might distract him at a crucial moment.

I agree, the point I was trying to make is that simply trying to get attention may not actually work well at all given how our socials are weaker than our physicals.
Running after Gai just told us that there is always a way to win, leaving our mother behind, protecting whom is our main motivation, seems like a bad idea all around, let alone I doubt our ability to outrun him.
Fighting him head on is unlikely to work.
Grabbing his sword is less than ideal, besides the sword being too big to wield, he could become careful, we should avoid that.
Let's go for Kevin home alone scenario, and grab a knife as well, after all in the update it was said that there are a lot hidden around the house.

I think you guys are to focused on the sword, using a weapon you have no skill is more likely to end up hurting our self then him. Also this would be a great time to release we have chakra(maybe moon mom will be kind)

You can't really swing it properly due to a lack of practice, but you can definitely stick em with the pointy end if that's what you're after.

I am not going to write a complicated mess that nobody is going to bother voting for anyway, so might as well vote for something not-awful. Not really sure if anyone actually got anything better than this in a coherent form, atm.

I mean, all our plans are hit or miss. We need to basically distract him somehow, and then end it in a decisive attack. In a prolonged fight, he, a dude with years of experience, not to mention a grown up, will kill us. Same with just running away. Perhaps instead of full engaging, we go to another room, grab a knife, hide it, try to humanize ourselves to him by saying shit like "Don't do this, man! You changed my diapers for God's sake! You were there when I took my first steps! Member all those walks in the park? It's me, Daisuke, your fwiend!"
If he hesitates, we go for the kill. Cut his thigh, hopefully getting his femoral artery, and then kite him around while he bleeds out. I don't think it's a good plan, but it could be better than my first one. Dunno tho.

So yeah, seems like stabbing Tokei with his sword might be workable, especially if we get the drop on him.
