[] Disagree. While it could make for an interesting life... You don't believe it's a path you could possibly take. Between Lunamon, Thresh & Flamemon you'll have other obligations. You'll have to get stronger for them and what he's suggesting would only hinder that.

Sorcerymon patiently listens to your answer, then as you finish lets out a tired sigh.
"Well that's a darn shame young'un. But ah understand yer reasons" The white champion tips his hat to you and nods. "Have a good rest, just be sure ta take care of that there gift."
"I-I will. Thanks so much, Sorcerymon." You reply with a bow of your head. Fighting away a veritable ocean of guilt, you turn away and scamper over towards your shared shelter, ready to finally head to sleep. Upon entering, you spot a lightly snoring Lunamon curled up on the bed. Judging from her position on the edge, it looks like she'd been waiting for you to come back but had fallen asleep. Thresh is almost comically curled up in her arms, his mouth idly gnawing at her sleeve while he sleeps. Here and there you can actually spot the telltale marks of his drool that's fallen down on the covers.
You find something about the sight is vaguely comical considering that he's quite literally the size of her head. Seeing it reaffirms your want to try and get the little guy, your *little brother* more.
Even if the terms sounds strange now, you don't want it to feel that way in the future.
After delivering a nod to their sleeping forms you gingerly move over towards the other side of the mattress and climb up. Sleep finds you quickly. Mercifully, no nightmares are awaiting to mar your slumber.

*Crackathoom*
You start awake with a squeak of terror-filled squeak, reflexively leaping up onto your hind legs as the surprising sound makes its way to your ears. The sound of several familiar and unfamiliar digimon screaming echo through the air and they're quickly followed by the tell-tale sounds of battle. For a moment you think it might be a dream; then Lunamon lets out a scared shriek from your left side.
"Verge what's going on!?"
The small rookie stares up at you with wide eyes, her lower lip trembling in fear. While in truth you'd like nothing more than to dig down and hide away from what's going on, that simply isn't an option right now. Thresh lets out an excited bark and hops out of her arms, rushing towards the hut's exit to try and find out what's going on and presumably start fighting. You scramble forward barely managing to scoop him up in a paw before he leaves, then toss him to Lunamon.
"S-stay put and keep him h-here" You shakily order, even as she catches the struggling In-Training digimon. With that you turn around, do your best to ignore the trembling of your limbs and rush outside.
You're just in time to see Sorcerymon be grabbed by the throat and carried off into the air by a
massive, long limbed, absolutely terrifying digimon. The magic user digimon struggles in his grasp, his staff shining bright with holy light as he jambs it up against the demonic mon's chest... Then before you can watch what happens next he's carried off past the wall and out of your line of sight.
Frantically looking around, you see that the village is in absolute chaos. Gramps is battling against a trio of
strange flying white digimon, moving in a red blur as he dodges the constant onslaught of clawing attacks. While they're not big, each of these digmon is clearly tough, somehow able to take his blasts of lighting and keep on fighting without much trouble. Off to the side Fu tries to provide some support, flying in the air and spitting volley after volley of seeds at the champions, but they don't seem to actually be doing much of anything judging by how ineffectual the impacts are.
Your best friend comes into sight a moment later, leaping over the wall and sprinting towards the fight with a trail of flames burning the ground around him. However in the next half-moment a streak of what you only describe as darkly colored light crashes into him mid-charge. Flabbergasted by the display of speed and horrified by what had just occurred, all you can do is gawk as the
wolf-like mon slams Flamemon into the village wall with a mighty crack, denting the strong wooden material. He leaps back a moment later, casually crossing his arms and peering at your best friend.
"This is odd," The figure says with a high-pitched, slightly amused tone.
"You actually survived that." It leaps back, arms crossing as it looks the fiery humanoid digimon over.
"Perhaps this can be entertaining after all."
Flamemon's reply does not share the same level of amusement. Rather he pushes off against the village's defense and leaps at the offending mon.
"Noble Heart!"
Before you're able watch what happens next a pained scream draws your attention elsewhere
"Argh! Verge, help!"
You pivot over to look towards the direction of the gate and spot a familiar Candlemon wrapped in the tendrils of a large
plant-type digimon. The friendly rookie, your friend, struggles in the embrace of its elongated fingers but can't so much as strike back while she's tossing him about in her grip around.
His calls for help send a stirring of rage flowing out from your core, and with a battle-cry, you rush towards the plant-type rookie drills spinning and ready to fight. Only to be forced to dodge a second later as the digimon focuses its attention on you and raises its other hand, sending a trio of fast moving tendrils straight towards your sprinting form. With a cry of surprise you leap to the side, trying to dodge the attack but still being scored across the side by a glancing hit from the rightmost digit. The sharp tendril cuts through through your fur and opens up a small line on your side.
"Ohahahahaha!" The decidedly feminine voice laughs even as her digits retract "What luck! Another one to drain dry!"
I-I can't attack head on, I... I have to dig!
You look down and desperately claw at the ground, throwing up a mound of dirt and just managing to vanish under the soil a mere moment before her next attack hits. After taking a quick few seconds to predict her position, you rapidly tear through the earth and pop up just a few seconds later.
"-abandoned you." she chuckles, laughing at the trapped Candlemon. Sparks glares defiantly at her, then grins upon spotting your charging form.
"Aha! Don't count him out yet!"
"A coward like that is no threat to m-" Is as far as she gets before you rear up and deck her in the back of the head. The enemy rookie crashes down straight onto her face, and slides forward from the sheer momentum behind your strike. Unfortunately, that isn't enough to end the fight.
Dropping her hold on Sparks, she rolls to the side to dodge your follow up swipe. The enemy mon comes back onto her feet a moment later, with an angry sneer. Wobbling slightly but still very much able to do battle. Instead of leaping back to try and use her ranged attack like you expected, the foe surprises you by brandishing her shorts claws and actually rushing forwards into melee.Caught off-guard as you are, you nearly take a lethal blow as the rookie sweeps her left arm up towards your throat.
She may be fast, but you've battled speedy opponents before. As the strike comes in your arm is already moving in to block, letting the purple fingers carve shallow lines across your limb instead of a more vital area. Your other paw sweeps out, but only lands a glancing blow on the flower sitting top of her head, tearing off a chunk of one petal. Seconds flash by as the two of you fight by the destroyed gate, a dozen more painful lines open up across your arms and torso under her intense flurries, but you're skilled enough to prevent her from making any real headway. The rookie isn't quite as fast as the Gazimon you fought earlier, or as good at dodging, so over the course of the next few seconds you do manage to keep getting glancing hits in here and there.
While one could say that the two of you have similar levels of skill, the fact is that you're just plain tougher than she is. This is a trade that she's demonstrably
losing.
Realizing that, she gives up on brute force and switches to the defensive, leaping back and leveling both of her arms at you for a *safer* attack.
"
Melt Wax!"
Huh. she really shouldn't have forgotten about Sparks.
His boiling hot attack washes over the green digimon, sending the data-type mon into a fit of painful screams as her chlorophyllic flesh burns. Unfortunately for her, the secondary effects kick in a moment later, binding the rookie in place while you step forward and pull back an awkwardly clenched fist.
"Mach Jab!"
The enemy digimons scream is cut off halfway with a solid *squelsh* as your fist crashes right into the center of her face, sending the mon tumbling away. This time, she doesn't rise up to fight again. Having ended the fight, you rush over towards Sparks, concernedly looking over his many bruises and scrapes. While he's in no risk of dying, your friend is clearly hurt and rather badly at that. Even as you arrive, the rookie's last burst of strength fades away, leading to him falling over.
Sparks! Okay, I-I can do this. Healing disc? No. There's-I have spell!
"
*Cough* hey Verge, we won. A-aha. Allies of justice triumph once again."
Doing your best to ignore his pained words, you reach into your bag and quickly pull out your wand. Then you start uttering the series of 1's and 0's as fast as possible, and while you do have to restart it twice, the third time proves the be the charm. A drained sensation sweeps through your body as the white light washes over Sparks body, but you shake it off in lieu of seeing just how effective your efforts are. Thankfully, the spell works just as advertised.
Your friend's minor wounds heal right before your eyes, the scrapes and bruises healing rapidly. New energy seems to burst up inside the formerly wounded mon as he leaps to his feet and thrusts out an arm giving you a thumbs up.
"Woah, thanks Verge! You can do magic now!? That's awesome! We'll-"
In the distance Flamemon lets out a cry of pain. Sparks winces at that, spinning over towards the open gate.
"-Have to get to my robot! That can help!"
Robot? Oh, the Mechanorimon!
You take a single step to follow him, then pause.
Sh-should I follow him?

Choose One:
[] No, you won't. The path looks clear for him. Go try and help Flamemon. Maybe you could at least hinder his opponent?
[] No, you won't. Lunamon and Thresh are still inside the hut, probably wondering about what's going on. You have to get them out of here now - the escape tunnel can be used to get them away from the fighting.
[] Yes, you will. Go with Sparks in case anything else tries to prevent him from getting to his Mechanorimon. With another champion on your side, maybe you can help the others win.
