Mmmm.... I get it! (Im probably wrong) Gramps will sacrifice himsele to alow eveyone else to escape from somthing! Litle did we know on the brik of death he survives by digivolving to Bakemon. (Listed on wikimon as Elecmons Death Evolution) Now he will be trying to find us for couple of arcs as we are moving too mutch for him to catch up.
Bonus points if he somhow against all ods befrends Holy Angemon: Priest Mode (still a ultamite but might as well be a weak mega as its mode change of normal Holy Angemon that allready was pushing boundaries)
My (unfounded) theory is that this place used to be storage/recource gathering station place for Metal Empire. (explains sparks metal pall) Whitch was built hear for the natural crystals in the first place.

As we are now we're decently high. Everything besides Dorulumon is probably at least slightly possible. Agility might be a bit too low to get Monochromon as we are now.

Nah, Numemon is when you digivolve for one reason or another without having the necessary capabilities to attain an actual evolution. Gramps just has a much more debilitating version of Eternal Champion Syndrome.
As the unknown digimon swoops down, you cower back against the nearby stone floor trying to make yourself as small as possible trying to avoid gaining its attention. But it ends up being for naught as the looming horned figure, turns its attention your way.
His Terrifying Blue Eyes pierce through you in what almost feels like a physical way casually pinning you in place. Fear unlike any other rises from your core, screaming for you to run away, to get as far back as possible before it deletes you. But despite your best attempts to move your paws over your eyes and block out the sight, his gaze keeps you frozen in place.
