Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

[X] {entrance} Hard and Fast

With or without Sabrina our greatest asset is overwhelming firepower. Attacking immediatly obviously sacrifices some valuable planning but I believe the potential to alpha strike and leave our foes in shock is worth it.

To be fair, there was no warning of an approaching time crunch in the previous vote, and the winning vote did not include "waste five hours watching anime".

So if there's a time shortage it's not exactly the voters' fault.

the vote in Never Goodbye clearly implied that we had a mission incoming, and would only do some exploring until it, unless we specified something else.

Rukia stated that if it had come up in the thread, it would have been included.
Up until this moment, no one seemed interested in the whole thing terribly much. No one asked questions, so Rukia had no idea people would be wanting to hear about it. Had they known, they could have included a segment of Cerys asking.

To be fair, Hero WEAPON is still hanging out at Solid Core's base and no one seems to have a problem with her or Gaia being there. Fighting with humankind and fighting for Gaia are not mutually exclusive... at least not in the future.
well yea, not like killing a WEAPON sticks after all.
no wonder they got some arrangement ongoing.

Gaia is plenty scary in Mainquest. She has 3 of the top 10 working for her, and you can't kill them permanently. Also best intelligence and nothing you can do against it. Half thinking she mostly allows Dark Magical Girls to get info on what the UD is planning and if it affects her.

I.... You... You realize that Gaia is literally the fucking planet, right? That from the very moment we became a magical girl we were her weapons regardless of what side we were on? You know that we can fight for Gaia and also be a hero supported by humanity's armed forces, right? Its not mutually exclusive.

I do know that, what I'm worried about is going overboard in killing people, sure not civilians but our actions will make it hard for us to work with people after WW3 whose loved ones was killed by us, at least have some mercy or restraint.
Also I just know we're going to meet a magical girl that is related to someone we killed somewhere down the line.
I hoping we can questions Gaia on some points.

In end what i'm hoping for is that Cerys can still interact with others without being socially isolated by everyone due to her actions because it would be very tiring interacting with the same people she have now all the way to quest end.
And I would like to see her make friends and sisters no matter how sweet doesn't really count.
There is going to be an aftermath.

At least we have discretion in killing....

Voting is/was per plan, as always.
Except there was no plan.

Here is the tally per plan:

Those are not plans; they blatantly lack the customary '[X] Plan'.

Well, whatever. Not worth the arguing. My fault for making assumptions I guess.
I would like to note that I have been reminding people of this fact approximately every third vote for a while now.

Anything one person puts together in their vote is a plan; as per Rukia's words, they would have had an idea what to do with these exact choices.

So it's not by plan, it's by block? As in any given person's vote is counted in full and any deviations are counted separately?

Well I mean... That is good to know, but I never actually picked up on that being how it was done because it's kind of obnoxious since it forces everyone to make a complete plan rather than letting people vote only for the things they specifically care about. It means that people like me who can't really be bothered to figure out the EXP plans system still have to vote for an EXP plan to go with our desire for a particular tactic or other. And that also means that a vote on tactics could be split by the vote on EXP being different, causing a tactic that is less desired to win.

I mean... If that's how you wanna do it, you're the QM? But imho that's kind of shitty to do to your questers.

It's been this way for the last 129 chapters, it's worked fine so far.
If I see that someone is deliberately being a dick and splitting the vote I'll step in.

If you can't be bothered to do the work for a vote then that's your problem, not mine.

(Yes I am aware this is not a perfect method, but it works.
If it becomes a serious problem I'll look into it.)

...could you please stop the salt?
Rukia counts the plans with no EXP-Plan together with those that have one, no need to differentiate anything.

The only things that are always counted in relation to each other (read: plans) are votes regarding the story. EXP-Plans are entirely separate plans that have nothing to do with the matter.

Was not trying to start anything or be super salty there. I was just trying to point out what I believe to be a slight flaw in the system. I have no intention of pushing any further than making my observation.

Please don't jump down my throat over this. I don't want a fight.

You see, this kind of thing:

Can sound very different from what you actually mean with it. I do not know which tone you want to convey, after all.

That aside, I was just clarifying your misconception about EXP-Plans being included in the general notion of "everything one user votes for is one plan". That goes only for story-relevant parts of the vote.

So in return, please do not misunderstand me correcting something as jumping down your throat.

It's worked well enough so far. I see no problems with the voting. If you haven't been paying attention for the last 100 chapters, then thats your problem, not the GM's, since nothing has changed as far as I know, voting system wise.

It is, however, worth noting that the existing system is counterintuitive, does not necessarily represent a majority opinion, and incentivizes the kind of strategic voting where votes consolidate behind the least objectionable option, rather than every voter picking the options they actually want most.

If this is functioning as intended, than nothing more need be said.

Incidentally, it also totally defeats the purpose of breaking up actions by task, since votes are tallied in absolute blocks, without partitioning.
