And where is the local Ace in all of this? I think a telepath would locate her local self pretty quickly.

He ends up going with the Earth 16 version of that midget from Superman Animated.
The local self doesn't need to be a telepath for a telepathic version of her to feel her mind.
That's true for normal magic, but absorbing divine magic from the awaken New Goddess of Magic (Zatanna) might have other affects.Funneling raw magic into someone has not been shown to affect the characteristic of a New God's portfolio, only the rate at which they achieve their peak.
I believe that Earth 1 canon is that they age normally until about thirty and then stop. I'll probably use that.
I don't think divine magic is a thing. Zatanna's soul is made up of Earth magic, and she uses Order magic as the structure of her spells. As far as this story has shown, divine magic is just magic that is used by gods, not something that is inherently different from normal magic. That's true for normal magic, but absorbing divine magic from the awaken New Goddess of Magic (Zatanna) might have other effects.
It actually does. Zatanna and Tao are closer to the New God side because they have their magic and their goddess charging their souls respectively. Wallace, meanwhile, only has ambient magic charging his soul. The fact that she's about even with Wallace despite being awakened for a much shorter time implies she's gonna hella powerful.Behind Zatanna and Tao, probably about equal with Wallace. If that actually tells you anything.
And here we see a distinct difference between Grayven and Paul. This could have been orange. It isn't.
I never knew Grayven had been a girl!Lynne Wayland steps out of the portal. Her hair's a little longer than when last I was her
Is this intentionally misspelled or did you mean "sugar"?
He was about to think 'well shit.'
He just up and out calls her 'Daughter' like that without seriously thinking about doing so?
I think it's worth noting that this is a mind-whammy in BOTH directions. Grayven may be free of his mantling and of the ALE, but that doesn't mean he's out of the woods in terms of unexpected things connected to his soul. The connection HE feels to HER is just as artificial as the other way around.skeevy mind rapey feel to it given he basically forced those feelings onto her.
Yes, I know that. I meant the "e" (suger) vs. the correct "a" (sugar). He was about to think 'well shit.'
But changed it at the last moment because of the little girl.
Oh, my bad.Yes, I know that. I meant the "e" (suger) vs. the correct "a" (sugar).
She's also finally seeing her savior again after a few months of no contact. A amplified reaction seems believable to me.That said I personally would suggest toning down Lynne's adoration a bit, it just has a skeevy mind rapey feel to it given he basically forced those feelings onto her.
Correction: the most vocal opinion readers expressed. I for one had no strong feeling either way in regards to Fire, and judging by the number of ratings given to that chapter exceeded 200, I'd say the vast majority of readers didn't get involved in that debate on either side.On the one hand, it's very considerate that you respond to your reader's feedback.
On the other hand, the opinion most people seemed to have had on Fire was 'we find this character rather distasteful', with a handful of people coming to the character's defense in a half hearted manner where the criticisms were severely negative.
He considers the matter Thursday.

Grayven: "That's Apokalyptian, so yeah, 'messed up' can be safely assumed."
A consequence is a result or effect of an action or condition. They do not necessarily have to be negative, eaglejarl.
Welcome to McGreyven's! Would you likesome friesto be fried with your conquest?
You're right that that's what the word means in general usage. In the context of character development, however, consequences need to be negative in order to cause growth. Giving the protagonist a reward doesn't provide the same impetus to change / improve as presenting them with an obstacle that they must overcome.
How the heck did I type that backwards?
Thank you, corrected.
Thank you, updated.

Should be fixed now.

I... do not know what to say to you to change your mind, nor do I want to cause an argument. I will just say that you are wrong, and leave it at that.
