Name one.

I'm not joking. Give me a decent CYOA fic and I will give it a chance.

All I see are awful horrible Worm/MLP crossovers, Mary Sues, and other such terrors.

LUNG ISN'T A UNICORN!
Eh guess I didn't make it sound sound sarcastic enough. The only one I ever found that was readable was Trolling the Multiverse (Worm CYOA / Multiverse SI) it not taking itself very seriously helps a great deal.

Not if each universes Mixie does it independently.

Who says they don't talk? Or is there canonically only one total?

Pretty sure it's one Mr mxy since he comes from his own separate dimension and not the 3rd dimension which the multiverse is in.

She doesn't like Snart being rewarded, but she's prepared to give the SI space to try as he's already had a degree of success.

It's a bus, I'm afraid.

A reality warping Bus! Haven't heard of that one before ;) *introducing Ms Frizzle to WTR*

Some of the first-party CYOAs were pretty good. I like Edward Packard as a writer. (I even have the one where he's an SI.)

Wait, that's not what we're talking about?

CYOA is an SI story where you get to pick your powers before you go, on a bent and unbalanced "point" system.

They almost all start the same, "Oh no, I got an email for that weird CYOA and now I'm here! But I have all my powers I picked!"

Cue Mary Sue.

It's like how there are almost no good SI fics because the basic premise is so easy to screw up, only worse because on top of that it's almost impossible to do well. Hell the only Si fic I actually liked has been this one, and those just have meta and maybe one cheat, CYOA have the same kinda weird meta as well as a built in aspect of mary su.

Well, the core concept of an SI, having yourself do stuff in a story, is pretty common. It's just that the author usually doesn't go all the way, and merely makes the protagonist either look a lot like themselves, or have a very similar personality. I've heard the Twilight series is the former, but haven't bothered confirming it; HPMOR is almost explicitly the latter, with a correction for age difference. The fanfic community is just a little more obvious about it and make the protagonist literally themselves, as well as telling everyone that it is them. That most SI fics are bad is mostly just because most fanfics are bad, in addition to the author being biased toward themselves

A CYOA is at its core a pretty bad idea. If you have the writing chops to make a premise you didn't come up with work, you almost certainly can make a better story by not limiting yourself to what someone else has come up with, even if they gave you a few options. It's kind of fun to think about how a CYOA would go, but actually writing one seems silly.
Also, I might be recalling incorrectly, but I'm fairly certain Grayven helped Freeze and his wife out and then let them go.
I don't think so. The only time I remember Gravy interacting with Freeze is when Freeze broke out of Belle Reve and Gravy was putting him back. I could be wrong though.

Well, in the first place, there is no Nora (Fries).

What I have is a slightly out of date copy of the records of currently active criminals with whom the League has had contact. Turns out this version of Matthew Hagen was a failed assassin rather than a failed actor. Dr Victor Fries is a bachelor, and without any of the redeeming qualities that made him an interesting character in Batman: The Animated Series. I suppose real people don't worry about whether an audience will find them interesting or not. I'm going to have to watch out for things like that, people I think I should be able to negotiate with because I think they have a different history to what they actually have.

No that was Rene!Snart.
"Who's next on the list?"

"Snart. Hardly requires both of us, I'd be astonished if he's had the time or resources to throw a cold gun together yet."

"Do you have his location?"

Ring? "Yes, he's in…" Oh, come on!

"Where?"

"Conn's Home Plus, which stocks an extensive range of home electronic equipment. Alright, he's got a cold gun."

I suppose my sarcasm went unnoted. >.> I didn't know that's specifically what a CYOA fanfic was, but did know it wasn't what I was pretending it was.
