You are correct, however the changes gained by Dannering the newborn while huge are minuscule compared to Garricking everyone. Which can be applied to people who aren't newborn and speed up the whole society by orders of magnitude
And has all sorts of other negative social side effects, and lacks the general improvement to quality of life of Dannering.

In a Garricked society, no one can ever slow down, or they'll be left behind since once they speed up again everyone they know will be dead of old age; their entire culture as well may have been dead for subjective centuries. And if everyone is always in fast mode, there's a strong "if everyone is super, no one is super" effect. Plus the outside world is at a standstill.

I just had a pretty weird thought about a planet full of speedsters. Does entering superspeed cost stamina or cause exhaustion in anyway?
That would split humanity into 2 different civilizations pretty much, the slow ones (exhausted from superspeed) and the normal ones (currently using superspeed). If everything that matters happens at superspeed how badly would you be effected by slowing down even for a bit to rest?
Edit: Damn, ninjaed by a sec

I feel like "Orders of magnitude" is understating it.

The entire planet would move at the speed of light.
Although I have wondered how cognition works when moving at super speed. Like, if the Flash's and Kid Flash's minds work at rate proportional to their speed, then asking them to run some insane distance, while short in real world time, would take them subjective ages. They obviously don't tire that easily, but running across an ocean or a continent would be pretty boring if you are subjectively running at a normal speed.

It would be funny if a world of Flashes still used cars and planes because it would take them subjective hours of travel compared to subjective days of running.

The other major enhancement on the table is the Atlantean package. Or packages as there are a few. Minor strength and toughness compared to Danner but it allows you to be amphibious. And 70 percent of the surface area of the planet is water. Gaining access to the rest of the planet may well be worth the lack of speed or strength.

It would be most amusing if everyone on the planet chose one of the three.

The Flash seems to have a normal human lifespan in normal time since he is able to run around the world and not age years.

Do we know that the Atlantean enhancements and the two formulae are exclusive? The Garrick formula is suboptimal because water provides far more challenges to high speed than air, but I don't think it's been tested at all.

The Atlantean stuff at least in Zoat's fic is a spell to transform the person, the other an alchemical process. So it's possible you could have both Danner formula and Atlantean transformations.

alchemical properties interfered with magic.
One of the things I absolutely hate with a passion about both Marvel and DC is the utter Americentrism.

a planet full of speedsters
Will we see any updates in Kid Flash's study of alchemy? During the Hell on Earth battle, Kid Flash had made healing potions.

I bring this up because the Soviet hero Red Star is a walking nuclear meltdown waiting to happen, so Kid Flash might use his alchemy skills to help Red Star get better control of his powers or find a way to better contain leaked radiation. In the Teen Titans cartoon Red Star had to funnel excess energy into liquid capsules, whereas Kid Flash might be able to make a Havok-like containment suit with radiation-absorbing liquid gel packs embedded into the fabric the same way some real-life althetic clothing have cooling inserts.

Possible moral dilemma: ALTRUISM vs. PATRIOTISM.
With foreign informants inside the Justice League and the renewal of Cold War style espionage, OL might have to reevaluate his desire to uplift humanity as fast as possible, and whether his desire to give humanity a fighting chance is stronger than his personal loyalty to the Justice League.

=(1)Phase One: OL convinces Kid Flash to tutor Red Star in alchemy under the pretense that it'll help him better control his powers.

=(2)Phase Two: Red Star shares his knowledge of alchemy with his superiors.

At the moment, Lexcorp's R&D division is only human faction [(Atlantis doesn't count)] looking into the industrial applications of magic and alchemy, focusing on the Danner Formula. This is a great first step, but OL might be frustrated by their rate of progress and what to take more proactive steps like deliberately giving the Russians data on magic/alchemy to propagate "unconventional research" throughout the world rather than have it restricted to just the United States.

OL emphatically isn't American, so he certainly isn't going to feel any kind of patriotic obligation to it. And this world's Britain isn't his Britain, and has an upper level government infested with demon worshipers, apparently. That probably cuts down quite a bit on any patriotic impulses.

As of now Themyscira is his official nationality, and while he'd clearly love to upgrade the heck out of them, he's having trouble getting them to accept any improvements at all.

From what he's been saying I'm pretty sure what he would actually prefer - and regards long term as a necessity - is a world government, or at least alliance. Remember his comment to that Russian official about handing out advanced military technology? He won't do it for any one nation, but if there was such a central world military he'd arm them.

True that is certainly a possibility.

Developing "normal" super powers might also block learning magic. Are there any known supers who have non-magic related powers who are also mages? However being a taught mage is rare and so is being a cape so the combination might just never have occurred.

Magic is just something you learn in DC comics, superpowers blocking the ability to use magic would be like superpowers taking away someone's language skills or ability to count, certainly possible, but hardly a common side effect.

As for possessing mojo (as in possessing magic power, often including being channeled into spells), that comes from so many sources such a restriction would be nonsensical. Genetics (usually homo magus, sometimes non human ancestry like demon or fae), possession of objects of power, elemental empowerment, tapping into a mystic location, or being imbued by outside forces.

As for superpowered beings learning magic, how about kryptonians? Like Kell-El the clone of superman, or Super-Mage and Supergirl of Earth 33? DC comics also has a speedster (William Selkirk) who knows magic as well, Jade once demonstrated her mother's plant control powers during a period in which she didn't have her starheart powers, but the writers dropped that like a hot potato.

Considering it looks like every superhero and villain in Earth 33 is a spellcaster, there are probably dozens of superbeings in that world who are both superhuman and spellcasters.

Brutal. Ninja. Action.

A bit more on topic, I find myself curious if France is going to get any heroes on the Justice League roster. China has one, Russia and Britain have future candidates (with Squire being more long term,) and France is the only nation left among UN nations with permanent seats.

I'd be very surprised if nations didn't start pushing their own metahumans onto the Justice League soon. Since China has one Japan and the KoreasRhalesias will try for their own too. Germany and France are a given. Maybe India too?

Thing is, the Danner formula is magic. And using magic is dependent on your own "metaphysique" as Mr Zoat has called it. If all available arcane energy goes to the Danner enhancements, then a Danner enhancile using magic might have much the same problems as a handless person has with learning carpentry or metalworking.

During the earlier corrections you missed one.
The following 17:23 GMT -7 should be 15:23 GMT -7
The updates after it have been corrected but this one was during the snip so you probably skipped over it
10th October
16:21 GMT -6
10th October
17:23 GMT -7

Also considering the two at the end of my previous post I am assuming that they are correct

But Conserning the following one
6th November
05:14 GMT -4
6th November
06:57 GMT
(05:14 GMT -4 = 09:14 GMT)
Since the updates after it are chronologically older what order should I use on the final epub?
Should I keep the original post order or should I have them in chronoloogical order?

If I put it chronologically then the renegade update would be before this:
6th November
14:07 GMT -4

Specifically while the Renegade update was before the fight with the Dark Druid now it would be afterwards

Honestly I don't have a preference and it would be easier for me to keep the original order
On the other hand it would just be an annoyance I would deal with once so it is not such a big deal to reorder them chronollogically

So which would you prefer @Mr Zoat

Edit Also I found another one:cry::cry:
10th October
16:09 GMT -6
10th October
16:09 GMT -6
These ones had the wrong hour and were corrected but apparently I didn't notice the minutes were the same

Where's the 'final' justice league list at?
Does anyone have link to Mr Zoat's list of future League & Team members?
I linked to them a few posts back. Remember that they are meant to be spoilers, so keep that in mind if you post about them in future.

I have a question that I know may seem off-topic but can people banned from a thread still view it or does the thread block all access?
I believe it's only their posting privileges for that thread that are revoked. Could be wrong.
