The characters didn't know. But since the readers saw Darkseid personally send Brimstone to Earth, it was fairly obvious from that side of things.
Micheal and Lucifer are canonically one of the most powerful beings in DC and they hail from the Abrahamic sphere of things.
Though this is entirely up to Zoat for how he organized the cosmic power hierarchy but its looking like the Abrahamic side takes the lead.
Especially if we consider that the First was originally God's conscience and the Second and Third fallen were deliberately created to be equal to the First in raw power.
Them being combined into a singular weapon and being able to kill beings like Gaia doesn't sound that farfetched if Yahweh is actually the Presence and not a being similar to Rao or Amun.
Edit: Apparently the God's conscience is a self made title, my bad.

and on a different note. I wonder how many plans got derailed by OL and Billy successfully defusing Adoms anger? Because this whole setup reeks of GoT style politcal manuevering and frame jobs... and who ever is behind this may have been counting on Adom striking at Q-bee in anger.

He's got superman tier strength, no qualms about using it against enemies if he gets pissed enough, and enough tactics to know where to hit first and hard.
I am thinking it would be a total non-event.
It would take him like 5 minutes to find out where the Queen is even if he solely used the process of trial and error on their cities.

In GURPS terms Savage is only level 2 unkillable. You can deal with him pretty permanently by throwing him in the sun or something.
Are their any level 3 unkillables in DC? Meaning if "killed" they just reform elsewhere.

No, it would take longer. Even flying at the speed of sound it would take him an appreciable amount of time to get to each city, then he'd have to search it. His senses are acute, but he doesn't have x-ray vision.

They are Literaly biologically incapable of the same decision making as an Adult. OL needs to pick the Runt up drop him off somewhere and get back to planing this shit. Frankly, it doesn't MATTER if Queen Bee is behind this or not.
The people will need something to rally around- an attack like this will incite national anger to insane levels and they will need someone to blame, an enemy to crush and retribution to settle down.
Otherwise, shit will just fall to peices.
If they start doing an investigation and it ends up leading nowhere, or into something the population cannot sink their teeth into shit is still going to happen.
