It explicitly said he confirmed that at least some of them are humans wearing apocalyptian gear

If apocalypse was sending soldiers they would do a full scale invasion.
This is obviously just giving sub par gear to the local primitives in exchange for fealy. We also have precedent for it, we have seen in previous episodes in biyala that there was a single apocalyptian military advisor to teach the primitives how to use their weapons, and everyone else was a human using apocalyptian gear.

That being said, they were soldiers violating a cease fire by slaughtering civilians. Using lethal force is entirely justified

Pacifiers are not subpar gear, Apokolips is a little more invested in this attack than normal and I think OL's little chat with Kanto is to blame for this.

Sub par as in "not their best stuff". This isn't a walking sun. And I don't think any of them had father boxes or any of the really nice tools apocalypse has.

That being said, you are right that they are definitely more invested this time around and have definitely upgraded the weapon quality compared to the last attack. This time they even provided some tanks and pacifiers

"Let's see, it was war and an alien invasion. I am not a menber of the Justice League nor is this country a signer of the Justice League chapter. I am also an ally and personal friend of the current King and acted with his blessing. So, what are you charging me with again?"

Googling found me this article. Summary: There are laws which seem to make it illegal to fight in another country's military, but the courts have interpreted them narrowly in such a way that they pretty much never apply. So OL's okay, as long as he doesn't commit war crimes.

Maybe, but do bear in mind that New Gods trend heavily towards arrogance. Especially when their opponent is mortal, which OL still is.

Is he? He has the soul of the Embodiment of Avarice, and a power ring that makes him the same physical age every time he thinks about how much he wants to be healthy.

As he said, it's complicated.

Considering that between his scry ward and the ring he presumably looks on the metaphysical level like an aura of Apokoliptian energy surrounding a void they are probably more than a little confused by what he is.

Either in the sense of not knowing what he is or coming to a false conclusion; I wonder if they think he's an Apokoliptian, or working for one? Mr Zoat did comment that Desaad sensed Paulphidian and assumed it was some other powerful Apokoliptian.

"My lord Grayven! You've done something with your hair."

"...huh?"

There's also a balance of power issue, with one faction having space AK 47s if we assume this wasn't top line New God weapons, and the other side having plain AKs.

You know that last line might not actually be the Mighty One, it could actually be Amon Tomaz. Also Queen Bee could be using this a ploy to get in good with the Mighty One by being "the cavalry" riding in behind Teth.

I find it kind of weird that no one has raised the possibility that Queen Bee is the mastermind behind the whole thing.

I mean, her powers work by bringing people who are attracted to women under her control, right? Who's to say the person everyone thinks is responsible is in control of his actions? That would be an interesting twist.

Actually the first few pages of reactions where all about how Queen Bee is a bitch, so you are factually incorrect, the people arguing that something else is afoot are the ones that don't want this mess to be straight forward insanity that are called plot points in comic book verse (because comic book logic is boring and retarded).

Did he remember to grab the tech?

Also what are the chances this ends with Adom marrying Queen Bee's younger sister? Because that would be one way for him to solve everything after getting rid of the previous Queen.

Do you think she'd marry him after he literally tears her in half? Cuz that's where I see this going.

Literally in half.

Or he'll treat her like Wotan and tear off her arms.

Unlikely. Not only is he focused on destroying the enemy as quickly as possible, but most of the worthwhile "tech" is in no condition to be worth grabbing after he's done smashing the target. Any useful fragments, he can pick up later.

They were expecting the Cake Man, they got the Doom Bringer instead.
With the Cake Man sometimes you get the cake, and other times you get baked.

It has been raised, and dismissed; Queen Bee has no reason to stick her neck so far out for President For Life Mahmoud.
And she had territorial designs on Qurac, not Kahndaq.

Why would she knowingly make herself a target by inviting Adom to a peace summit, and then sending xeno-armed soldiers to attack the people he's sworn to protect? Gets her nothing but enmity.
Unnecessary enmity at that, since she has no way of killing Adom, and he is an old-style monarch, perfectly capable of dealing with what he considers treachery personally.

Looking at this, and this quote:

"Queen Beena has offered to arrange peace talks between myself and those who remain loyal to Asim Muhunnad." Ah. Interesting. "She had maintained diplomatic relations with him for her entire reign and had previously offered him sanctuary in the event that he accepted my offer to let him leave. I would say that she is his only remaining political ally. I would like to think that she may be able to persuade him where I have failed. Still, I am aware of her past behaviour and I cannot entirely escape the feeling that this is some manner of trap. I also cannot see what she hopes to gain."

"I'm not sure how it could be a trap, Adom. Even if she hosted, that's only half an hour flight time for you. Less if I'm around and I just transition you back."

"That is true. I was concerned that perhaps my enemy might attempt to use it as a distraction in order to commit some great atrocity, not to win but simply to enrage me to the point where I would do something… Impolitic." Rip people apart in public.
I have to wonder if Queen Bee is the one being set up as a sacrifice by someone. Provoking Adom into ripping her apart at a peace conference would cause him serious political damage, especially if it turns out that she wasn't involved.

The 'homophobic bitch with an ego a mile wide at its narrowest point', as an alternate OL once described her? Adom could do better for himself, really. Plus, not sure if he'd be up for marriage again after what happened with the original Shiruta.
