Nothing can go wrong with combining the universal concept of Need and Want with the universal concept of Tyranny.
(EVERYTHING can and will go wrong in the worst possible way. This is a horrible idea in every way an idea can be horrible, including all the ways that human brains cannot grasp.)
The Omega Effect isn't the concept of Tyranny, though. It's the destructive side of the Source.

I said destructive, not dark. The opposite of the Omega Effect is Scott's Alpha Effect. At least in the comics, anyway. Could be different in Earth-16.

Darkseid is Tyranny, Darkseid is not the Omega Effect, the Omega Effect is a completely separate thing that he bound to himself, but it could be unbound, though that might require something more than orange light.
