A helmet would reduce his visibility.
He has access to entire Apokoliptian database, a good chunk of the Guardian database, and the manufacturing capabilities of an orange power ring. If he can't find a decent way to protect his head without obstructing his field of view, that's his own fault.

Edit: Actually, he doesn't even necessarily need a way to protect his head; he just needs a way to make it look like his head is as protected as the rest of his body.

Well, radion affects the soul, so there are probably perfectly good forms of armor made from the souls of dead babies. Grayven should clearly construct some immediately.

Why bother killing them? It's so much more effective for protection if they're alive and arranged like so:
Admittedly it's less effective on supervillains, but still effective against a decent amount of them.

He assumed they were intelligent enough to check the computer records before opening a secture storage unit.

Paul is officially the mother of all a$$#%&@s. All shall love want him and despair.

Tor lorek san, bor nakka mur,
Natromo faan tornek wot ur.
Ter Lantern ker lo Abin Sur,
Taan lek lek nok--Formorrow Sur!

I think the @Jamie Roberts might be spreading.

So how different would Earth-16 have been if Paul had shown up in orbit in the 30s or 40s and linked up with the Justice Society?
Depends exactly when. If he could get the lantern before Alan, he'd be fine. The Second World War would be quite a bit shorter and the -sensibly federated- British Empire would end up as the world's leading superpower.

Post-Alan, things get tricky. With no other lanterns and no Star Sapphire he's stuck either going for the Maltusian ship (dangerous prospect) or keeping his head down and hoping he can pinch a star map from someone. Kal-El's ship is probably the simplest source but that would be 40-50 years in the future and probably wouldn't get him to Maltus. Getting Abin Sur's attention could work, as Abin can't hand him over to the Guardians without revealing the Indigo Corps.

And this is the story of Earth - ??'s Paul.

Poor guy, stuck in the past.

Don't forget to grab a few radion weapons to bring back home with you.

Now that Grayven knows he and his awakened YJ-teammates are vulnerable to radion, what should he do with this knowledge? How can he find ways to better protect/defend himself without letting potential enemies find out about his weakness?

Avenues of outsourcing R&D: the Justice League, WayneCorp, Kord Industries, the biomancers of Atlantis, the healers of Themyscira, Cranius' UnCorp, and Cadmus which is run by The Light. Personally, I think Cranius has the best chance of coming up with a solution since he willing to try all possible alternatives no matter how impractical, grotesque, or obscene.

Passive-aggressive transhumanism:
Grayven: "I'm so glad King Orin and Queen Mera accepted my offer to undergoing the awakening process and become New Gods. (*dramatic pause*) Oh, by the way, you're now vulnerable to a substance called radion. Here's a sample for your biomancers to study. Good luck!"
Aqualad: :rage: :rage: :rage:
Poor guy, stuck in the past.
Speaking of time travel, I bet Paragon-OL and Grayven have contingency plans in case there's a "crossover" with Batman Beyond (2039 A.D.) or the Legion of Super-Heroes (30th century), especially the Splicer subculture where teens gene-splice animal traits into themselves the same way modern teens get tattoos and piercings out of rebellion or non-conformity.

Dr. Abel Cuvier: "It's a honor to meet to you, sir. My doctoral thesis was about your [insert subject]."
Grayven: "I have fans? Sway!"

He would at least have more reliable future knowledge.

Basically, starting with and Orange ring and no lantern, get some initial capital from the asteroids or something similar, and then put away the ring to de-age yourself every few decades.

I'm not the greatest student of history, but I think I would recognize companies that ended up being very profitable even if their names were different and invest in them, maybe try to get geological surveys on Mt. St. Helen's starting in the 60s, warn against the accidents of Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, push for increased funding for nuclear power and space exploration, things like that. Certainly less glamorous than the story we're reading, but not a bad life all around.

Also: Let everyone know that cigarettes are bad, asbestos is bad, leaded paint is bad, leaded gasoline is bad, freon is bad, etc etc etc.

Not that hard to have a large positive change if you can get some initial influence and reliable knowledge of the next few decades.

Edit: Global warming. That's a big one.

Reliable future knowledge and the chance to recruit villains before they go...villain.

So glad to see this story over on SV, even if the reasons for the change were... less then stellar.

A question that's been bothering me ever since the whole thing with the Demon Marvel; is anyone capable of being empowered that way, with an appropriate ritual or such?
I know Paul isn't big on "jumped up elementals", but there's a few he seems able to get along with, and desperate times can call for desperate measures. It might help fight Klarion at least.

It amuses me to consider that OL or Grayven (now that he has the formula) could solve that situation just by Dannering the babies.

Villain: "You can't shoot at me, not without killing these babies!"

Grayven: "Hey, babies! BOOO!"

<the sounds of shrieking babies and snapping bones>

<later>

Wonder Woman: "What did you do to that man, Grayven?!"

Grayven: "Hey, don't look at me like that. It was the babies that got him."

IIRC, T. O. Morrow's only out to destroy superheroes because his future seeing machine showed him how much better the world would be without them
Is that canon to With This Ring though? That sounds pretty far out.
Then Heroes who don't have Villains go back to obscurity, or worse, they go Villain.
Who cares if the heroes don't become super famous? And this is the Young Justice universe. You know, probably the most rational DC universe in existence? Heroes aren't gonna turn evil for bad reasons.

Why do you assume his teammates are similarly vulnerable?

Graven himself shouldn't even be vulnerable as he shouldn't have New God's biology.

Which is what is required to be vulnerable to the stuff.

Only conclusion I can come to is that Fatherbox must have slipped in a lot more then it told Graven when it was fixing what he did with Venom Buster.
