"Hello? Who is this?"

"Yeah, Hi. So I was wondering about this unstoppable murder-beast that was suddenly roaming around my living room, so I called up my cousin Ganthet, who said he'd look into it and then get back to me. Would you like to know what he told me just now?"
Jamie you need to narrow do the type of Murder Beasts Remember he's keeping a eye out for Earths Red Lantern.

He shipped a Burning Martian to Maltus, remember?
Contents: One (1) Burning Martian. Do not open package without proper storage facility on hand. Improper handling may cause serious injury and planetary devastation. Do not shake, tilt or strike the containment unit. Do not unplug containment unit while in use. Improper handling invalidates warranty. This side up.

Hmm, I'm now picturing the Controllers being inspired by the burning martian into forming the Effigy corps.

It strikes him hard on the right of his chest and I see ribs give way under his skin as he's knocked aside. That's what you get for wearing stupid, minimalist faaagh!

"Commander!"

"That hurt!" Yellow beams from my eyes blast through Kraggers hand, disintegrating the energy weapon he just used to shoot me in the head.
I'm sorry Gravy, but who was just insulting whom on their lack of armor on vital components of their body?

So can you change the lantern oath into a two word oath? Or does it have to be of some length and have emotional meaning?

"Diddly Doo!"
Ring successfully charged

I think that Sinestro denied the possibility, when Grayven said, "so I have to say the full oath?"

But it might be possible to change the oath length.

Actually, if you remember from when Lantern Chance let Alan recharge off his lantern, the Oath basically acts as a key to the lantern. Since the Sinestro Ring is largely patterned off GL rings and lanterns, it stands to reason that he thought it was a decent security measure...

... Knowing Sinestro, though, the lantern probably disintegrates anyone who tries to use it without the oath.

But it might be possible to change the oath length.
It probably requires sitting down with both ring and lantern and fiddling with the settings. Or usurping it with an orange ring.

He'd be right fucked, because Alan wouldn't have given up his lantern.
You sweet summer child. Alan's lantern was merely the first, best hope. There's still all those guardian energy signatures around to be investigated, and the second to last ditch effort of binding an avarice demon to the ring.

He would have hardly been fucked, but it just would have been a much less easy situation.

Also, if the radion blasters weren't destructive on a purely conventional level, all it would take is a good set of anti-radiation armor to block them. Just like what happened when Grayven tried Kryptonite against Earth 50 Supergirl.

I assume you can name even a single material that is known to block Radion Radiation?
