WITCHES! YAY!

Pound the witch-drums and whip up that witches brew, cause fingers crossed a journey to Witch-world is in order!

...Being something of a twisted reflection of Puritania, I wonder what their views on the kind of clothing women of the modern era wear are...

WITCH-WOMAN: (to Zatanna) Hast thou no shame girl?! Dressed up as though thou were going to sabbath?! In daylight no less?! Avert your eyes, Son!

WITCH-BOY: ...By Scourge, Hex and The Hecatae, I can see her ankles!

So how many Grundymen are there?

"It's a zombie, Alan!"
At this point, there's only one.

She ducks under a grundyman's clumsy swing
This could have just been a grammatical error, but...

the remaining grundyman
... now you're talking about a character in the scene that had never been introduced.

At last!
After more than a week of passing every little bit of free time over this, I have read this story from beginning to last update!

*Crash down from exhaustion*

And I have a question!
Was there a specific reason for why the SI decided to not ask Death of the Endless on "how to get a soul", back at the beginning?
I mean, she DOES have the ability to give Life, which speak of the ability to grant souls too, and it's not like getting to speak with her is hard...

(One has to draw her sigil and call on her. That's it.)

And considering who we are speaking about, I REALLY doubt that she would have said no.

The SI cannot do magic, my Emperor

It wouldn't have mattered, Sigillite- in the comic, a single person made the sigil for an entire group- and everyone was brought before Death...
So all the SI had to do, if he couldn't make it works himself, is to be close to someone else as the sigil was made.

Perhaps the SI didn't want to risk the conversation with Death of the Endless, such a powerful being can be..... reckless, my Emperor

He choose Eris as a patron Deity.
In comparison, talking to Death of the Endless is FAR safer than a being of Chaos, I think we can all agree on that...
Beside, it's not like the power of a being has ever truly stopped him from speaking his thoughts, now did it?
On top of that, he is friend with JOHN CONSTANTINE. I am reasonably sure that "danger" is no concern for him...

I am reasonably sure that there wasn´t any being even remotely close to power to Death the Endless.

Bah! Such crude humor appeals to the lowest common denominator.
Yes. Yes it did.
And Kara's incoherent scream of rage after he said it was priceless.

This makes absolutely no sense.
Well, if you are around before the concept of Death has been implemented yet, you have a golden opportunity to enact some grandfather clauses to the whole process. That is what the Primordials in Exalted did. Granted, it didn't end up working out that well for them, but the principle is the same.

Well, there is DC!Lucifer, and The Source/GOD, and she cannot touch Archangels as a whole...
Yes, but he dealt with neither, he just met Desire, which we are not even sure he remembers. While Endless are beneath the dynamic brother duo and the Presence, they still outmatch most of what he met. Darkseid included. I am however far from expert, i mostly know these powerlevel from forums of arguable trustworthiness.

Well, as with everything in comics, it is COMPLICATED.
On the one hand, she isn't scared of Lucifer threatening her, but on the other hand he can pretty much tell her to go away any time he wants.
She is, to put it simply, bound by rules that cause her to be weaker than what she could be.
MAYBE, if she actually wishes someone dead hard enough that she force the issue, she could kill Lucifer... but considering the kinds of BS that DC!Lucifer can get up to, I doubt it.

There IS that, too.
DC!universe got fucked over because an arrogant fool went back at The Beginning, and things went wrong after that.

And if he DOES remember the Endless from his original universe, then he shouldn't fear meeting Death to ask for help- she isn't evil, at the most she will ask for a boon in exchange, nothing more.
If that.

"than", since she's American-raised.
Really? Really, America?

The SI has no idea how to do that, and in the early days wasn't even sure that she exists in the continuity he was in.

... Actually, after further research I found out that all someone needs to call her is...
To call her.
That's it.
Saying "I wish to speak to Death of the Endless" is literally all it takes.
And the SI could have done that easily- if it worked, that's good, if it doesn't...
Nothing lost trying. Except five second of his time.

*Shrug*

It just strike me as odd that he didn't used his knowledge of her to help, but...
Well, maybe in the future?;)

If he doesn't know this trick, then it doesn't matter how easy it is. He won't say those words unless he starts a habit of blurting out random strings of text hoping for something interesting to happen.
