Yes, I will gladly cause hail to fall on Darkseid. Ideally, planet-sized hail.
The worst part is that he can't even bring the Ophidian to bear against Darkseid, because that'd run the risk of the very concept of desire being infected with Anti-Life.Well, ladies and gentlemen, I think it's time to whimper and pray to Eris that Paul doesn't attract Darkseid's ire.. or comes up with a REALLY good plan to get rid of him.
.... cause I don't think Paul can handle a run in with the Anti-life equation.
Between this and the episode title, I wonder just to what extremes OL will have to go to get him back...
All technically true, the best kind of truth.Adom nods. "Have you spoken to her father?"
I nod happily. "Yes, and he didn't raise any concerns. Though to be honest, Jade is rather closer to her mother.
I mean, it's Darkseid, so I assume you just want to give him a headache?
Thank you, corrected.
How so?
Since the fight with Mister Twister.
It sounds like Adom is explaining his reasons not to call her up, so I would assume he thinks that she would not approve.
I thought he tried it and nearly got a brain hemorrhage.
Indeed. And Paul has a lot of stuff that's potentially useful. Mageslayers, angel feather bullets, qwa weapons, a Hope ring on a guardian equivalent's finger, Ophidian, potentially Hope, Love and Will entities, a favour to call in from Dream of the Endless (for freeing the muse), whatever godslaying weapons Olympians have, a planet busting solar gaze attack his friends has, etc.I kind of hope it's Darkseid and Paul just beheads the guy with the sword of the fallen before he can even say "what".
Because that would make every single Renegade segment from here on out hilarious.
It's more that he doesn't really care. He hasn't seen her since he was seven. It sounds like Adom is explaining his reasons not to call her up, so I would assume he thinks that she would not approve.
He's had a good deal of contact with the orange light since then.
Sounds like it:
"Actually-" I wave my right hand like a student uncertain about the answer to the teacher's question. "-the quintessence waveform scan should bypass magic… Most magic. You could probably ward against it specifically or.. some sort of planar distortion? I mean, if they've put him in a parallel universe or something you're out of luck, and if they've moved him to another planet we could be here a while. But if he's on Earth and whoever took him hasn't expended massive -and easily traceable- levels of resources…" I nod. "I should be able to find him."
He frowns. "Why didn't Hal try that?"
"Because it would have given him a brain haemorrhage. I can only do it if the Ophidian helps and I can't.. retain most of what it shows me. That's why I brought this." I unsling the box containing my personal lantern and open it. "A location should be doable."
No, no man escapes the Manhunters.
Manhunter: "NO MAN ESCAPES THE MANHUNTERS!"
She's not actually human, so in fact she isn't even by that usage.
She's a Titan, not a Man.
Ah, Larfleeze Ring. Never leave us.
Are you trying to tell me that Paul has had a Larfleeze!speak Ring on his finger and we haven't been hearing "MINE MINE GET IT MINE NOT NOT NOT YOURS MINE!" at inopportune times the entire times we've had it? It be like having a Little Larfleeze with us!
For shame.
Also the spell check on the quote says it should be 'internalized'. Though that may just be because America.
