I don't think the Anti-Life equation can effect those who have reached enlightenment.
Don't the Martians have acces to the life equation ? Even better the Metron Symbol doesn't seem to have any notable restrictions on it's usage and procurement, If anything Metron isn't particularly fond of Darkseid.

Might make for an interesting story line
if Paul lost his enlightenment or another Emotion due to antilife exposure...

Between this and the episode title, I wonder just to what extremes OL will have to go to get him back...
Hrm. Constantine-level rescue plot: kill her brother from afar via magic shenanigans, then bring him back via the underworld. Maybe throw in a power up along the way, too. ^_^

Also, at some point, the Isis amulet will finally be used. But that's just using what was set up in this story update.

Hmm. OL's metaphysique has become powerful enough to withstand doing the scan.

This is interesting, and the implications are fun.

Paul, watch where you step. You may be ensouled now but... this is nasty business.
I really have to question whether or not Darkseid can do fuck all to the Ophidian's heart. She's older and more powerful.

I kind of hope it's Darkseid and Paul just beheads the guy with the sword of the fallen before he can even say "what".
That would be enjoyable. If only because I'm tired of Uber Darkseid.

See, if this is true, it sums up everything wrong with Darkseid as a character.
Darkseid IS. All are one in Darkseid.

Basically, he's consumed by and better with use of his divine mantle than basically anybody else. There is far more to Ophi-chan of the primordial snake left than there is of Uxas. Which is bad for his identity but good for his power.

It kinda goes hand in hand with the Tyranny mantle, given how every time we see someone take it from him they start basically becoming him.

Only the Goddess Suli can control Darkseid. That why his Mother had her murdered.

Didn't one of his animated incarnations get borderline effortlessly pasted by Kal-El once he finally stopped treating him like cardboard, and only salvaged his reputation (and avoided getting literally beaten into a coma) via external assistance ( thus admitting he was weaker), and despirate infomation control?
Yes, that scene/speech.

Plus, if you think about it, for all his talk, and boasting, and alledged threat threat level,it's kinda pathetic he REFUSES to do much in the way of actual conquest without having the most lethal cognitohazard in the known universe as a comfort blanket...

IIRC, Apokolips was heavily nerfed in Justice League animated. Like, Brainiac could actually pose a threat to the entire planet, and their serious invasion of Earth was rebuffed rather easily

That jogs with what I remember.
Still think Anti-life is a crutch. I guess his obsession with it's like Thanos's laziness, huh?

Darkseid is the butt of many jokes in DC continuity and his reputation among the fans is only salvaged by that whole 'Avatar of Darkseid' nonsense.

Did Darkseid52 get pasted by the flash? Oh well it was just an Avatar and clearly the REAL Darkseid didn't care about it enough to give it a power boost.

In short the real 'Darkseid' is an allegory for editorial management.
