Didn't OL meet her during the farewell party for the porn star martian? Nothing was mentioned about it being a curse then, though he noted that her emotions were messed up. I don't know if magic would do anything for her that couldn't be achieved through other means.
Well, yes. He met her there, noted that she couldn't feel hope, love or compassion at all, even when he directly stimulated related areas of her brain. He noted to the Martian Womanhunter that it was unlikely that the cause was biological, leaving magic.
...
And then he left her there completely, despite his noted emotional attachment and compassion to her origin story, if not her herself. And that's leaving aside the fact that she's immortal.

\Real question is why does he sleep at all? Don't sharks and most sea faring creatures turn off half their brains at a time to get all the rest they need?
IIRC DC merfolk retain predominantly human neurology and biochemistry, so a mostly ordinary sleep-cycle isn't out of the ordinary.

-but then you reminded me about that.
I am quite sorry Zoat but...it had to be done.

I have actually heard of H'ronmeer. He's Martian, right?
Well I certainly haven't, and you have an unfair advantage. Not all of us are complex, DC history storing A.I's masquerading as humans to gather data.

The implication is that for someone as tough as Kon, chainmail effectively is padding.
Yeah, I got that. Just had someone arguing with me on a question forum for like...40 posts about leather armor (BULLSHIT) and Gambeson. So I was engaging in a little fun.

Though on a serious note, Kon does still have a normal sense of touch (Or possibly heightened?) so...the metal would still chafe his skin I would think.

I've got the parts on order to make myself some lamellar armor, so I get where you're coming from with that -- gambeson is totally underrated in the fantasy community; that stuff can stop arrows if you make it right.

In this story I'm using 'theurgy' to refer to monotheistic miracle casting.
So that Amazon who is a Priestess of the Greek Pantheon is not using theurgy when she prays to one or more of the greek gods of intervention of one sort or another? Zoat, I hate to tell you this, but you have let the power go to your head. You need to put down the pen and step away from the dictionary. Your made up definitions for words are contradicting and in some cases the exact opposite of the existing meanings of those words. You are crossing the streams man!

*hits Zoat's nose with a rolled up newspaper*
Bad Zoat. No one wants another Inflammable debacle because of you!

Yes, but DC merfolk are humans with fishtails, the more mutated Atlanteans are a quirk of Earth 16, even though they share an origin.

For those that don't know, Zoat made up the fish graft thing. Some Atlantean families just mutated over the years, in the same way as the merfolk of Tritonis just mutated into fishtailed Atlanteans in the comics, according to Greg Weisman's tie in comic.

If anyone thought it was weird that some people supposedly said to themselves "Let's give birth to squid things!" well there you have it, according to the YJ writers, nobody did outside of this story.

some kind of potion/elixir of EVIL from some dick who took advantage of her

and for something mean to make some one evil, i mean suppressing Hope/Compasion/Love isn't exactly all that evil, it just make some one a hateful, greedy dick that enjoy other suffering

not that much evil

Supposedly the Hyde formula or at least a variation thereof.

The same formula, or variation thereof, is what gave her creeper boyfriend his supersoldier effect. Since he was already a low life, it's unknown how much of a personality change he experienced.

Now I'm imagining the Light Redux throwing a drunken party in the LexCorp building... Circe could probably get pretty wild.
Adom, Grayven and Richard are flat out immune to alcohol. Cranius processes alcohol very quickly but can't take much, causing him to alternate between sozzled and stone cold sober. Lex wouldn't drink if doing so would put him at a disadvantage, even around people he was allied to. And Circe things unwatered drinks are for uncivilised barbarians.

Thank you, corrected.

I tend to assume that it works on a curve; the more force applied, the smaller percentage of it he feels.

What page is that on?

Also, personal headcanon, and probably to be shot down by Zoat, but given OL's insistence of using people's 'Real' names instead of Aliases, the fact that Satanaus allegedly is his 'Real' Name, and the Fact OL doesn't like him for being part of The Light, being uncreatively dangerous, being opposed to Anjelica Blaze who OL is currently planning on using as part of one of his plans, and generally being a bit of a git...

Paul now always refers to him as sat-ANUS

Young Justice #14, page number unknown to me, but Kaldur says to paraphrase "Atlantis existed above the waves, using science and sorcery we adapted to life under thew sea. Over the millenia, the city states evolved differently."

Which means they all started out "pure" but then regional differences arose.

For the differences to be regional, it would require that everyone in a city state agrees to a modification and everyone outside agreed to not use it.

I've met people, snowball's chance in hell.

If it were choice it wouldn't just be nationality, it would be class and wealth among other variables.

instead we get "merman, family must be from Tritonis."

Or it means that when things started getting rough after the first couple generations, and the pureblood modifications weren't working for everyone, local facilities used what they had at hand, and then the result bred true.

Not necessarily. If might refer to differences in social organisation.
