We think he's under the effects of Black Mercy, or it's queen, the so-titled "Mother" that OL is talking about. It feeds him a false reality in an attempt to make him happy. OL is probably trying to convince the queen to join his corps.
Though we aren't 100% on it being Black Mercy, Zoat confirmed it right away as soon as someone guessed it, suggesting it could be something else.

Unlikely. Earth Prime doesn't have magic, but that doesn't mean it's antithetical to magic. It's possible his soul would "fade" if he stayed on Prime long enough, but I doubt he's planning to. The rings not working is a valid concern though. As for getting back, presumably Sivana will leave the portal open.

And I've never done this before, could I ask for a spoiler on how long the dream sequence is going to be? It was a real slog to get through today's installment, And I liked the Silvana arc. It just seems really, really slow, and maybe taking a break until there is some progress, then reading through all at once would be better.

The only evidence that Paul is from earth prime are his memories, and if Paul is from earth prime, where are all the alt.Pauls from? There is only one earth prime.

Not 100% sure this is a mistake. If you're using "Sivana" as an adjective, then it's fine (the A-game of someone/everyone named Sivana). But if you're using it as a possessive noun then it needs to be "Sivana's" instead (the A-game of this specific Mr/Ms Sivana).

I was one of the people who wasn't sure about that, but it's pretty unlikely that it isn't black mercy now. I did a google image search during the previous post, and the flowers Paul described were 100% black mercies. It would be a pretty dumb twist if it turned out that the identity of the flowers was "just a coincidence".
