I think the convenience of having an index available on every page and navigating from story post to story post makes sense and is worth it. This isn't something that would work for the SO thread because that's a lotta index. But, thread 12 is going to get really long eventually, so that number of Threadmarks would get really long as well, unless we eventually abandon ship to 13+.

I agree with this.

Story-Only threads are nice, but every purpose served by them is also served by threadmarks, and threadmarks also let you see the responses to each chapter, if you want to.

Personally, I'd have tried to find a way to transfer the old story-only thread over, and named it "With this Ring, Archive Chapter 1 to chapter [whatever]" then linked from the last post in said archive to the first post here, and vis-versa, then probably never touched the archive again.

Different strokes for different folks though. Zoat seems to have gone with a story-only thread, threadmarks and possibly an archive if he manages to rip everything from the SB thread at a later date.

He's Grayven and the poster is Vaermina.
Also, I'm pretty sure he negotiated an exception specifically to cover kidnapping/coercion, so smiting him over this would be a violation of the oath.

And before anyone argues Grayven went willingly, he went because he thought the Batman ordering him around was his reality's Batman. You know, the one he's under oath to obey.

Hello old and new folks! It`s your hopefully friendly undead zombie speaking! I`ve decided to infiltrate this forum and steal your hearts make an account here too! :D So how is everyone? :)

And, Zoat: Keep it up, WTR is awesome! :)

So I go away for a while, and when I get back everyone has moved!
I'm still not entirely sure what happened, but I'm glad I can still get my fix :)
Mr Zoat.......I told you I'd stalk you xxx

That is what you think. Lot of people and beings disagree. :p
If only because there are a number of us dedicated to its defence. I mean, who am I going to lord my superiority over if they go extinct? Who will like my posts? Who will provide the goods and services I have grown to depend on!? I still require the existence of humanity as a functioning species...

for now.

You can always go to another sector or whatever, and let those who want the end get it.

And how many of those sectors share human popular culture and societal norms? Finding one that even has a web forum equivelant is going to be hell. Let alone one with a creative writing forum that specializes in fan fiction of all things. No. This planet is protected.

I have to wonder how Gaia is going to smite Graven when he eventually returns to YJ earth?

Do you honestly think that's likely?

I have to wonder what Grayven's plan is at this point. Tell the world what the Thanagarians are actually about? Would he even be believed, or is he going to pretend to be running things and do a victorious villain speech and goad all the heroes that see it into going after him?

Hm. True. Very well, protect it if you want. I'm off to find someone who can drive you off. :)

I have a feeling that people are hyping Gaea's oath far too much.

Would her reaction, if this counts as "leaving" Earth, be significantly more dangerous than Zeus's lightning bolt after Grayven went to Themiscyra? He'd probably shrug off whatever effects and then leave the planet where her influence would be muted, if not cancelled altogether.

More likely he wants to present himself as the saviour of the Earth from the villainous Thanagarians so everyone will love him. How you may ask? By getting Commander Talak to admit he plans to blow up the star system.

Actually Mr Zoat commented that the actual problem is that by the time her retaliation escalated to the point it was a danger to him, it would endanger the world in general.

That, or Gaia exists simultaneously in all timelines where Earth exists. As far as she sees, all Grayven did was move from one timeline to the next... and proceeded to save the Earth of that timeline (and by extension all timelines that may branch off from it) from being destroyed by a bunch of invaders.

That would be like someone who isn't allowed to leave the country taking a trip from Springfield to Shelbyville whereupon they stop a bunch of terrorists from setting off a nuke.

It would be kind of amusing if Gaia personally sends a message to Grayven in the YJ timeline thanking him for saving the Justice Lord's alternate Earth.
