I'm gonna be honest, this episode has actually been one of my favorites, up there with the ones with paulphidian and the Black Adam/Teth Adom psychadelic journey to the center of the mind...

Really, this doesn't feel like a "Renegade" episode so much, because every complaint I've ever had about renegade is GONE. The more characterization he gets, the more I am glad Zoat decided to make it an actual offshoot instead of an Omake.

I think it's because it derivates really heavily from what you expect to see in the story in general. The Yellow Ring, the Sinestro AI Brain State thing, the alternate universe, etc. It's very much a status quo change, which makes it inherently more interesting to me, especially in a monster of a fic like this. Grayven's characteristics are better realized and become less grating, etc. It really really works.
 
AH! Sorry. I saw Wheel of Time on the Wiki page and assumed that he was the original author. Right.

He can't have it back.

Speaking of the SB thread; is there anything interesting going on over there these days? I haven't been checking it, so I'm idly curious.

I demand that you comprehensibly 1) prove the existence of, 2) define, and 3) explain the etymology of the words "But", "decade", "I", "a", "update", "once", "more", and "than".

If you're going to replace the original Zoat, then you're going to have to replicate his ability to put up with unreasonable madness from the fans.

Zoat, what are you doing? That's not how you negotiate! You say, "What, this?" while gesturing to where the Update Speed lies upon your desk, and demand a price you don't expect him to be able to meet.
Then, when he sells his soul to make your price, you hand him a slapdash copy that'll only pass for the real thing for a week tops. Of course, that was the one prominently displayed on your desk (you kept the real one in a vault, obviously) so he got exactly what he asked for.

Would her reaction, if this counts as "leaving" Earth, be significantly more dangerous than Zeus's lightning bolt after Grayven went to Themiscyra? He'd probably shrug off whatever effects and then leave the planet where her influence would be muted, if not cancelled altogether.

I believe Zoat mentioned that Gaea's response if she does feel it's time to smite Grayven would be to send monster(s) to wreck his shit.

I'm sure Gaea is smart enough that if she decided to sic an apocalypse after Grayven it (he/she/they) will be able to follow him without sticking their thumbs out hoping for an alien abduction.

I also really like the lack of Gravy complaining. I guess him getting shot is some nice consolation for some people? And the Yellow ring not being nearly as effective since he isn't as good at using.

Also people keep posting new update links despite Zoat asking people to not do that.

Appereantly :turian: Zoat can't stop them. They are entilted to do whatever they feel like espacielly since Zoat has left and can't dictate them anything. :turian:

It is pretty disgusting actually. So Mr Zoat perhaps you should ask a Mod to lock that thread. It probably won't stop them but it would at least be in a different place.

Also I have to ask Jamie, Are you the twin brother of Jamie Roberts from SB or did he got a clone? Because you are pretty good copy but I am not really convinced.

Okay, it's like one or two people who said anything like that, and they were pretty much shouted at by a bunch of other people.

It kinda doesn't matter, even if the thread is locked it's just going to end up with a discussion thread opened that acts the very same way.

As someone who wasn't a huge Grayven fan (I found him amusing but nowhere near as well written as Paul, and I like Paul better still), the spoiler conversation from a few weeks back helped a lot convince me it was going somewhere good, and he's currently having a rough time of it compared to his usual antics, which is refreshing.
