... was this an unasked for "Well done, son guy" moment? Grayven gets an attaboy? And Lynne doesn't seem to like Grandpa.
Darkseid sits quite calmly in my chair, a clearly terrified Lynne silently weeping on his left knee.
Good luck on that.
We discussed this in an earlier thread. You used to be able to glitch your way out of this encounter by destroying every couch in your home base, since the game spawned him directly onto the couch object in your base with the highest comfort rating.
It seems they've finally patched that exploit out.
I suspect if you remove all the furniture that it's possible to sit on from your base, he just brings his own throne or something.
No, even Grayven didn't think that taking a god-killer sword to proposes to his girlfriend was a romantic thing to do.Two power rings (both perfectly suited for a situation where he desperately needs to protect his family) Garrick formula and the sword of the second and third. Problem solved in 0.35 seconds.
(He is still carrying the Sword, right?)
Because there's... So much data on... Darkseid 16.Darkseid isn't actually that great, especially on earth-16. He's basically superman with mind-control and slightly more dangerous laser-eyes.
His greatest strength is his massive amount of minions and planetary resources. Both of which he left behind to come here. (hopefully)
Not to mention giving Darkseid information on how to make an unending line of Kryptonian super soldiers.Yeahhh picking a fight with Darkseid while he's holding your daughter and his every word induces crippling fear with a side order of background mind-rape invisitext seems like an excellent way to die messily.
I'm moderately surprised Grayven still thinks Darkseid is fooled by his act given Father Box's been watching him all along.
Stray comment: This update could be summarized as "Renegade realizes he's not playing as Shepard at all- he's playing as the Illusive Man and the indoctrination's just kicked in."
Also, the full degree of Renegade's screw-up here:
He's actively drawn Darkseid's full attention to the Earth, or at least guaranteed it.
He's given Darkseid an intimate view into the workings of the Justice League, Earth society, and his own efforts.
He has essentially no relevant secrets from Darkseid.
Darkseid arguably owns his soul. Literally.
Darkseid just heavily implied that he's expecting him to actually conquer the earth, and will be keeping a close eye on him in future.
One of his most potent assets just turned out to be Darkseid's watchdog all along, and is basically bonded to him at the hip so he can't even quietly ditch it.
In other words, someone dun goofed. If he can't figure out a way to deal with Father Box, anything but a fate worth than death seems like a non-starter.
I think they're conflating Darkseid-16 (on which there is a grand total of one scene's worth of information that I'm aware of, amounting to perhaps a minute of total footage) with DCAU Darkseid, who as presented in multiple appearances is basically Machiavellian Unfettered Superman with angle-variable laser eyes.

First, as you said he needs to figure out a way to deal with Father Box or any plan is doomed to failure because Darkseid would know.
WIth a possible conclusion of Jade's loving relationship being false, a telepath having partitioned her mind into two personalities, one loving, and the other her normal self. A climactic battle of the minds occur between the two Jades, until only one is left. When the battle is over, Grayven goes to hug her, but it turns out that evil!Jade was the one to live, and tries to kill Grayven with a Radon/Magic weapon. Forcing Grayven to have to kill her, and then start crying.
I think at that point you've broken the power scale. Asura is a little bit overpowered.
