He shakes his head. "I think not. I'm immortal, and while I believe that I have a soul far greater than those possessed by the common herd I am not a magic user. The sword with which you so memorably slew Klarion will have no more effect against me than any other sharpened piece of metal. And while you may be able to defeat me in combat, there is no prison in which you can-."
I didn't think the Sword had anything to do with its targets being magic users or not. Is Savage just talking on his baseless assumptions here?

No, it's not unreasonable. Savage's regeneration is metahuman, not magical, and (he believes that) he regenerates from a property of his body, not of his soul.

He MIGHT be right. He might not. Hard to say, and now we don't have evidence.

Using her knowledge to combine martial arts with magic would have been pretty sweet.

I disagree. Martial Arts are useful because they maximize the damage a baseline human can inflict on/avoid from other baseline humans. Once you start adding in other powers, it quickly becomes less relevant. Not useless, but not the first thing to react with either in many cases.

Skin.
Lines? No idea what he's saying here, must be a Britishism.
Thank you, corrected.
I would have thought Lady Shiva would have known better than to charge head-on without any sort of defense...don't tell me she actually had feelings for that jumped-up caveman?
No, but she didn't believe his offer of amnesty. And she wanted to fight someone that dangerous.
At least you've through about it this time.
you've -> you're
---
make construct armour and a construct kit shield
kit -> kite
Thank you, corrected.
How could knowing supernatural martial arts be effective? Purely as a scholarly source, I'd say, is enough reasoning to subsume rather than splatter. Plenty of lost knowledge there. Easier to just Danner somebody in terms of practical use, but she probably knew plenty of stuff that was lost to the ages.

I mean, he kept Crock and what the heck is that guy good for? Lady Shiva is one of the greatest martial artists in human history.

EDIT: Was, not is.
He assimilated Crock for the information and the practice, and because in those innocent days he didn't know anything like as much about fighting as he does now. He still has him because he doesn't know how to get rid of him. Ms Wu-San knows nothing about how to fight using super strength, which is just about the only useful thing the Renegade might have been able to get from her.
I mean I guess?

It's like, there's worthy opponents and then there's bum-rushing a demigod with nothing but a sharp pointy metal stick.
Probably a magic stick. I mean, sure, some people slap runes on stuff so it looks nice but she was a professional...

Actually, she does it for fun, doesn't she? Wouldn't that make her an amateur?
Thank you, corrected.

I'll point out that Grayven was trying to be merciful to Lady Shiva, giving her a chance to just leave and so on; and that he's also called assimilation worse than killing people when speaking of Nabu. So it makes sense he'd choose killing her over assimilation.

On the other hand....... Omg did i just casually just suggest that amputation is an acceptable way of restraining a person?

Lady Shiva: Fool! I hunt down the greatest martial artists in the world and kill them with my bare hands! My body is a weapon!

Grayven: Okay. *slices off all her arms and legs with his power ring*

Lady Shiva: Ahhh! My limbs! I'll kill you!

Grayven: *blows her head off*

Officer: ...

Grayven: What? You think I'm going to wait for her to figure out how to spit her teeth into my eye with enough force to kill me? She's a world-class assassin who kills people for fun! I'm not even kidding about that being self-defense. Hell, just removing her arms and legs was being lenient, all things considered.

At least you've through about it this time.

Probably should be "thought".

*follows link* How the hell... okay, look, I get it, comic books; still, without some form of super strength that ain't happening. Lady Shiva might be able to do it, because Ki bullshit trumps physics, but a baseline human cannot accelerate objects like teeth and fucking fingernails hard enough to, not only go through whatever clothes or accessories you may be wearing, but also kill you. Hurt, it's a stretch, but okay, maybe, kill? No, nuh-uh, that is just completely and utterly ridiculous. Make up your mind comic books, people either are baseline humans or they are not baseline humans, you don't get to have your cake and eat it too.

Warning: A beam of murky gold energy hits my construct shield, doing minor damage before cutting out. Radion source detected.

Oh, thank you very much.

You are welcome.
Given that ring-instructions, ring-speaking, and strong emotion segments are indicated almost exactly the same, I can only guess this conversation goes 'Orange Ring - Renegade - Orange Ring'?

Thought there might have been some interplay with the rings there at first, but the uncoloured full stop in the yellow fragment I think indicates that it was Renegrayven sarcastically thanking the ring for the late warning.
Edit: While terrified. Lost that part when I restructured my reasoning paragraph.

I clearly see her muscles move under her bare skin as she shifts to a fighting stance. "Vandal Savage is a superb fighter."

"Okay, but he-. Oh! Hahah! Him and David Cain? Of all the chat up lines I never thought would work! How is little Cassandra?"

I have no idea what Grayven's talking about here. Can somebody explain it to me? He's acting like he just put two and two together, but the narration never actually tells us what the puzzle pieces are.

knowing how to fight really well without super strength could be useful if he ever gets de-powered enough to need it.

She had a kid, Cassandra Cain aka Best Batgirl, with David Cain. I presume he's thinking Savage got some dating tips from David, who's almost certainly on his payroll.

@Mr Zoat
First of all today's time is the same as yesterday's post-trasition. And since Grayven does some stuff and Shiva and Savage wake up and get ready it should be like a minute later

05:18 GMT -8 = 21:18 GMT the previous day, in this case the 21st. Or six hours after the SI part. I think.
Umm no.
When you have GMT -8 you add 8 hours to get GMT. In order to be 21:18 GMT the previous day it should be 05:18 GMT +8 in order to remove 8 hours.
In fact in the same update after a transition you have 13:21 GMT on 22nd June. So the latest Renegade updates are ~22 hours after the SI stuff.

And what I was saying was that you should fix the TOC on the first page to put the SI parts under June 21st (which as I see you have already done).

As things are Grayven returned from Mordru at 09:18 GMT -6 = 15:18 GMT on June 21st. Then you have a SI update that starts at the same time 16:18 GMT+1 = 15:18 GMT (which I assume is fine) and then continues until 16:53 GMT+1= 15:53 GMT. And the day after you have a renegade update at 22 hours later.
If you were actually aiming for a shorter period between the renegade missions and were aiming for 21:18 GMT on June 21st then you should either change the GMT-8 to GMT +8 and change the date for the GMT time to June 21st. You could also change the time to 13:18 GMT-8 on June 21st and then change all the following dates to match it. However in that case why would Savage and Shiva be sleeping at 13:18 their time?

TL;DR the datetimes are almost fine (apart from today's date) to leave as is, if you are OK with Grayven waiting 22 hours between missions.
If you want him to wait only 6 hours you should fix the other dates to match it (and in that case the last 2 Renegade updates should also be moved on June 21st on the TOC).

Typo Edit:
"We don't really need to search anymore."
This has color set as greed. It should be green instead (which is funny since greed as a color would imply orange instead:):):))

No idea either, but reminded me of

and made me laugh.
Both Cain and Savage had sex with Shiva. And judging by her reaction Grayven figured out that their pick-up line was basically:
"I am a superb fighter. Wanna Fuck?" ;):);):)
And he never thought that something like that would work!!:lol:rofl::lol:rofl::lol

Aside from killing her being more merciful than assimilation, her not knowing fighting at superstrength isn't a bad thing. If he assimilated all of her martial arts abilities, he'd be able to fight those of equal strength to him, with greater skill. For instance, Darkseid.
