No, but there are a few subtle changes in his behaviour.
Was it this part?
"Because it was foul. Pressing against my soul, trying to make me not-be." I never really understood how 'equation equal reality' worked. The universe doesn't break if you write '2+2=7' but that thing was spouting… I frown. Something about… Not being a person? Huh. I can't… Clearly remember. I suppose I got off lightly there.
Like he doesn't remember he's in a fictional universe.

...you know, I kind of hope our little latent reality warper imprints on Grayven for saving her.

I really just want to see Diana's face when he gets back with a kid in tow and says he decided to 'adopt.'

Funny thought: Would Ace mainlining the Anti-Life Equation for an arbitrarily long period of time impact what sort of New God she becomes? Just because Scott can fix the damage doesn't necessarily mean he can remove the scars, after all.
When he fixes the damage I would think that an instinctive HATE of the Anti-Life equation would become almost second-nature to her, if only as a result of her survival instinct kicking into overdrive to avoid Anti-Life exposure at all costs.

So maybe something anti-anti-life?

Also no god's-speak this chapter. Did the Anti-Life break it?

Hmm, going by this betrayal Barda is clearly the Token Evil Teammate.
She was never on his side, so it wasn't actually betrayal.

Although I find the idea of her deciding that's true amusing, since she knows what really over the top evil is like but not "token evil". I picture her trying to play the "token evil" role earnestly but not quite getting it right, the way she tries to do housewife-stuff (ie, cooking in full armor with an apron).

"This is what Earth people call a 'puppy', yes?"

"Um, it is."

"I fail to see the appeal of kicking them, but if that's what I am supposed to -"

"No, no! It's just a phrase!"

I really don't get why people use that as the go to petty evil for the gods of Apokolips. They don't kick puppies there. Anymore. That's how Granny Goodness got promoted to godhood.

Grayven. Renegade. Whoever you are now.

How in the world would you think it's a good idea to New God a potential reality warper?
She's under-ten, and the rate of Godhood is kinda slow.
If the powers that be in this parallel cannot raise an important under-ten to be a good person by the time they hit adulthood, they have more problems than just Grayven can solve.

At worst, give her to the Frees to raise; they have experience with New Gods.
Though that suggestion about her following RenPaul back to his parallel is very funny, and would work as well.

@PostwarGryphon

Please forgive me, the temptation is strong and I am weak.

...anti-anti-life sounds like it'd be good for what ALEs ya.

Careful, the Anti-Death Equation is equally bad news, although the life equation seems safe enough, but since it's all the lantern colors (barring black) working in concert, I'd say Grayven is 6 rings away from mastering it.

Although now I'm imagining Grayven as the Rainbow Lantern.

And there's a case of someone clearly just messing with an established concept by flipping the name polarity on one word. What's next, a pro-... Actually, that sounds like somewhere I shouldn't go in random conversation.

Oh dear. Then again, I did just voluntarily leave the Earth. My cause was just, but if Gaea didn't count coming to Earth 50 as 'leaving Earth voluntarily' then this will certainly set it off. Irritating, but hardly disastrous. Okay. No Father Box means no boom tube until I can build one. Building one with a power ring and personal lantern is more a matter of time than…

He thinks he can build a Father Box, how cute.

"SHADE were going to use a piece of the Anti-Life Equation to Justify the citizens of Earth! They're probably still got what they need to establish some sort of spirit-crushing network. Batman was dealing with it when I left. I need to get back and make sure they don't try again. Barda, please. I don't want to fight you." Ring, plot course.

Should be "was" and "They've".

"But I'm going to need Father Box's aid." I hold out my right hand to Barda. "if you wouldn't mind?"

For the love of all that's holy don't give it back to him.

Better yet destroy it.
