Okay, these two are good.

Edit: Oh, and you mislabeled the threadmarks. Today's update is 12, not 13.

...Wow.
I assume that this was arrogance on the part of the Guardians, and not that the twins have bested the Guardians in terms of sub-space technology?

Well you can't deny they are geniuses.

On the bright side they most likely didn't steal anything (OL will check anyway with his perfect memory to see if anything is missing) since they likely only accessed the sub-space pocket to prove they can while also studying what OL had since it was to prove how smart they are. Also I guess they were hoping to study his lantern as well which might not have ended well considering who is currently living in it.

Still despite their disregard for piracy don't seem that bad so maybe OL really can connect with them in some fashion.

Also he should thank them since now he will look for a way to better lock up his stuff.

Really? You're gonna steal from an orange lantern? Do you KNOW how bad that can go?
Well, they know he won't actually kill them, since they don't intend to kill anyone, so maybe that was their intention? See what sort of tech he uses when he fights, especially when deprived of the stuff in his subspace pocket.
Thaddeus Junior grins. "Yeah, turns out? Guardians don't bother locking subspace pockets." He shrugs helplessly. "Eh, what you gunna do?"
The last line seems like evidence for that.

Also, I'm assuming that the Guardians actually do lock GL subspace pockets, otherwise any civilization that used subspace storage could steal a Lantern's lantern.

These people are amusing and scary in equal measure. I wonder if they've tried nicking stuff from the green lanturn stationed on Earth?

Oh whaw, I don't... That could've ended up absolutely horrible for them if Paul brought his lantern along. Ophidian would not have been pleased to see someone taking Pauls shit.

It's rather a good thing they didn't get the Lantern, otherwise we'd have gotten to see what an irritated Ophidian looks like when someone steals something from her heart.

excuse me while I pick up my jaw I think Paul actually picked up on a social cue! that being said it required people pilching his stuff out of sub space, shame on paul for not putting a lock on his sub space safe.

guess this goes to show though that when the marvel family goes after this family you realize how much they're actually holding back.

Can't really find characters this deranged engaging as a general rule. There are quite a few exceptions of course, but these two... unless there's some in depth exploration over a sizable period of time I suspect they'll very much continue to feel like caricatures.

Paul, your armory was just robbed by two super villains. Could you try, oh I don't know, GIVING A SHIT?!

I gotta admit, I'm hoping this little story line wraps up soon. I just really don't care about the going on of this family or Paul's fake date.

Oh dear. Subspace hijacking.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure he's not EXCEPTIONALLY worried because freaking out would be counterproductive and there's no obvious immediate threat, and he can still use constructs for most of what he needs. Better to keep his cool and get his stuff back without raising a stink.

I think this is mostly just going to result in OL locking his subspace.

Grayven, however, will likely not do so, and find out about this little error in a much more dangerous situation.

"Nah, we stole it from your subspace pocket."

What? Ring, status of subspace storage.

"We were going for your lantern but I guess you left that at home."

well good for them it wasn't in the pocket. I don't imagine the ophidan would have been very understanding. Proably something along the lines of "I have ended worlds for lesser offenses." and that would have just made the whole thing terribly awkward.

Okay, just want to say, I'm really loving this. Like, I'm surprised how much I'm loving it, but I'm seriously loving it. I don't... I'm not sure if I "ship" Beautia and Paul, but as companions / friends? Very much so. And this whole family becoming friends with Paul actually would be quite entertaining and dynamic and quite possibly world changing.

Oh, and they're fun, especially with how Paul is so non-plussed about it all.
